Lindberg is a company with a fascinating history The original 'Lindberg Line' stretches back to the 1930s when Paul Lindberg drew plans for famous modeling magazines and marketed his balsa wood 'stick and tissue' by urging dealers to carry the '...Complete Lindberg Line'. William H Low Co 1800s Amoskeag Steamer (Steam Pumper) - Wilo Line Fire Truck, 1/24, FP7

Multimedia Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

$109

Very rare. Very highly prefabricated and detailed. Likely from the 1940s. William H Low Co., of Braintree Mass., issued the 'Wilo Line' which included a superb series of antique commercial firefighting equipment. The scale is given as 1/2" and the finished steamer is 8 inches long. The kits were very advanced for the time and shared many of the pre-fabrication methods of Hudson Miniatures. Features plastic injection molded spoke wheels, completely precarved boiler, a vast number of other completely carved and cut large and small wooden parts, numerous completely carved smaller wooden parts, numerous cast metal fittings, working metal bell, hoses, metal stock as needed, sandpaper, complete instructions, a parts layout, photos of the actual steamer and the model under assembly and complete, full size plans. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including instructions/plans. The kits in this line include Amoskeag Steamer, Hose Reel, Hose Wagon, Chemical Engine and many others. In most cases they are the only kits in existence of these historic vehicles. Bill Low did design at least one 'non-fire truck' kit in his Will-O-Line - a Conestoga Wagon, advertised as being 1/24 scale, kit #B14 for $2.85 listed as "This is another Museum Piece by Bill Low." After seeing these fire truck kits, I do not doubt that.

MPM Aichi M6A1 Seiran, 1/72, CZ003

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

$24

Well molded kit with fine recessed panel detail. The M6A1 Seiran was a late war submarine based float plane. The new I-400 class contained a large, water tight hanger and this aircraft was designed specifically for that space. The wings and tail folded to fit but the aircraft could be assembled in 7 minutes by a trained crew. To aid in night assembly, the critical parts were painted with florescent paint. The first planned attack was the Panama Canal, but this was cancelled in favor of Ulithi Atoll anchorage. The war ended before the attack could take place. Never started. Factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Midwest Super Jabberwock - 33 Inch Wingspan Class C Cabin Competition for Free Flight or R/C Conversion, C-1

Wood Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

$155

Cabin style 1949 record holding aircraft designed by Wally Simmers. These aircraft were common in the 1930s when the sport of free-flight model airplanes reached it's zenith. It was not uncommon for these models to fly for 45 minutes or more on rubber power alone - many flew out of site, and it became common practice to write your name, address and phone number on the covering tissue. Quality kit includes printwood, strip wood, precarved prop, two colors of tissue and beautiful full size plans. The model has not been started. The parts are either in factory sealed bag(s) or inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions.

Ideal Aeroplane & Supply Sovereign of the Seas Clipper Ship - 21 inch long Wooden Ship Kit, 1/147

Wood and Metal Model Kit,   Box Condition: Fair+

$115

Rare kit from 1937. This is one of Ideal's larger and more highly detailed kits in the 'Super Detail' line. The add on the plans lists this model as being 23 inches long, but I measured it on the plans as 21 inches. Very nicely done kit for it's time with a 80% precarved hull, extensive metal fittings, wooden blocks and deadeyes, metal stock, printwood sheets and full size plans with rigging details and rigging materials. The kit has never been started. Most all small details are still in the internal factory sealed bags and 'Pill Bottle'. All other parts are inventoried 100% complete including plans.

Sealsmodel Fuji Pre-Dreadnought Battleship, 1/700, SMP0103800

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

$42

Very highly detailed and finely molded waterline model. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes flags and instructions. Fuji was a very famous and active Japanese capital ship. In the late 1890s the Japanese shipyards were not quite yet ready for such a project, so the Navy contracted with Thames Iron Works in Great Britain to build the class of four. Fuji took parts in the Russo-Japanese War (19041905) in the Battle of Port Arthur with her sister Yashima. Fuji then engaged Russian forces in the Battle of the Yellow Sea and Tsushima. In 1910 she was designated a coastal defense ship in 1910 and served in a training roll. She was hulked in 1922 and actually survived WWII to be scrapped in 1948.

Revell Lockheed F-94 Starfire 1st Issue - Pre 'S' One Piece Box, 1/56, H201-59

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc+

$350

One of the first three Revell aircraft molds issued in 1953. This kit is correct with no rivets and no landing gear. Instructions are printed on the back of the box. This box is in excellent condition, complete with all end flaps and has not been crushed - usually these thin one-piece boxes are in very bad condition. Box has never been repaired. Never started. 100% inventoried complete with all parts/decals and instructions present. Please note that this kit is different from the 'Pre-S' issue in the following ways: no rivet detail, almost no panel lines, different part numbers, pilots are a part of the fuselage (busts only), one piece wings and absence of the pods at the half-wingspan line, no landing gear and no holes for such, very early 'Colortone' logo decals and a silver, two piece plastic stand of a unique design that was not used again.
