The kit has never been started. NOTE: missing one small part, suspension link #4L. 4R is present and can be used as a pattern as this part can be made. Lindberg F-86D Sabre Jet Fighter - with First Logo, 1/48, 522-98

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good-

$44

Very rare first Lindberg issue with the 'script' logo and 'narrow' box. From the mid 1950s with dramatic Ray Gaedke artwork. Molded in high gloss silver and clear. Includes script logo decals and box logo instructions which was not unusual. The box was originally numbered 522-79 and has been over-stamped with a factory '98' for the price. Lindberg always used up any old stock and never seemed to waste any boxes, parts, decals or instructions. Paul Lindberg's consistent year-to-year bottom line profits are testimony to this. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. Lindberg is a company with a fascinating history The original 'Lindberg Line' stretches back to the 1930s when Paul Lindberg drew plans for famous modeling magazines and marketed his balsa wood 'stick and tissue' by urging dealers to carry the '...Complete Lindberg Line'. After the war, Lindberg and Olsen had a strong hand in early United States injection molded kit development. Please see the article located on this website about early USA plastic kit manufacturers.

Pocher Fiat 130 HP Grand Prix de France 1907, 1/8, K70

Multimedia Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good+

$429

Pocher made the finest automobile models ever created. The detail and working parts on these long out-of-production, big 1/8 scale kits is amazing. This kit is a prefect reproduction of the original car that won 1st place at the 1907 Grand Prix de France with an average of 113.612 KPH with Felice Nazzaro as the pilot. The prototype of this car was used with the original drawings to create this model. It has 823 parts of plastic, brass, steel, leather, iron, rubber, copper, aluminum and other materials. Features include super detailed engine, opening hood, complete interior, all pilot controls, operating steering, working suspension, operating steel drive chains and more. NOTE: this kit has very minor, neat assembly. The follow sub assemblies are built to the quality listed in the parenthesis: block, oil pan and drain plug (3 parts, 'professional' quality assembly), magneto assembly ('professional'), radiator (4 parts, 'professional'), handle to engine crank (2 parts, 'professional'), radiator cap to radiator band (2 parts, 'professional') and the "F2" decal is applied to the radiator front ('professional'). There is no other assembly. Most parts are still in the factory sealed bags, but about 10 bags were opened and four more had the typical age splits; I inventoried those bags and they are complete with all parts. Includes decals and instructions. Recommended for experienced models only. Shipping insurance (and Express Mail for international customers) is required.

The kit features completely precut ribs, wheel pants, firewall, elevator, rudder and many other balsa parts (thin and very thick), die-cut plywood fuselage bulkheads, formed wire main and nose landing gear, balloon tires, metal push rods (for control line linkage), a metal hardware pack that is still sealed, numerous other wood and metal parts as needed, window material, tissue covering and more.
