Varney Baggage Coach (Combine) Illinois Central Streamliner - Metal HO Kit, 1/87, S-13

Metal Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+++

One of the most known names in early HO model railroading was Varney. This kit is from the unusual 1950s Varney streamlined passenger car line. The main car bodies are metal with lithographed color sides. The paint is in excellent condition and still has great gloss. The kit also includes ends, floor, bolsters, handrails, couplers and trucks. Never started and complete with instructions and all parts, most still sealed in small envelopes. These make great stand alone kit or as functional cars for your HO railway.

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

$28

In this Craftmaster issue, a pilot ejects on a pillar of flame as his stricken BAC plunges earthward trailing black smoke. Despite this dramatic scene, XM192 enjoyed in historical fact a long career with 111 and 145 squadrons, retiring intact in 1973 to become a ground display aircraft. Never started. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions.

Airfix NA-39 Blackburn Buccaneer - Craftmaster Issue, 1/72, 4-89

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed Exc+++

$36

Still factory sealed but the seal has split on the right side. One of the more dramatic Craftmaster boxes. A British carrier launches heavily battle-damaged Buccaneers with enemy ships within visual range. Other Buccaneers are taking heavy and accurate fire from the enemy, while one ship is engulfed in flames. Propeller driven aircraft fall burning from the sky. The Buccaneer was the world's first purpose designed low level 'below the radar' bomber. Low level strike aircraft have a shorter airframe life limit due to the stresses of low level flying, so the Buccaneer was designed to be very strong and even had many sub-assemblies milled from solid metal. Kit features opening unique rotating bomb bay, folding wings and working arresting hook.

Molded in white, clear, red-tinted clear, chrome plate and with rubber tires. Never started. The parts that were factory sealed are still in factory sealed bags. The parts that were never factory sealed (chrome and clear) have been inventoried complete. With instructions and decals. NOTE: the decals have bug damage, mainly to the backing paper. Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

$25

The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The famous first bomber to sink a battleship under any circumstances. Billy Mitchell arranged to have the ex-WWI German Battleship Ostfriesland used as target practice for 6 MB2s, and the ship sank in 25 minutes.

Precise Douglas Bendix Royal Canaidan Air Force Sparrow II Missile For The CF-105 Arrow

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

$550

Very rare and historical piece from the CF-105 program weapons subcontractor, Douglas-Bendix. The Sparrow II was to be the weapons system for the supersonic CF-105 Arrow interceptor; please note the "R.C.A.F." on the body and Roundel on the fin. However, major problems prevented the Sparrow II from ever seeing operational service and played a small roll in the demise of the Arrow. Other systems were more expensive or less effective. The AWG-9 was offered, but was too costly. The Falcon was offered (and originally planned), but was not adequate. Thus this beautiful and capable aircraft was without a weapons system, which contributed to the ultimate cancellation. This very rare display model was made by Precise as a promotional item for Douglas and Bendix (the two main contractors). The missile is 6.5 inches long as is the clear base. It comes in the original shipping box with a two-sided information card on the missile. Condition is near mint - it has only been taken out of the box twice. Base upright reads 'Douglas Bendix Sparrow II'. No touch ups/repairs or cracks. Insurance required on shipping.
