The metal castings are very well done and detailed. Features two trees of brass plated parts, steering front wheels, full engine detail, removable hood, detailed exhaust, suspension and driveline, complete interior, flexible engine hoses, numerous woodgrain decals including a full set for the body side, choice of license plates and more. The kit has never been started. All the parts that were in factory sealed bags are still factory sealed. The B-29 raids on the Japanese home islands caught the Army and Navy Air Forces unprepared. The S1A1 Denko and Ki-108 were far from successful at this role, so Kawasaki tried using the Ki-102 ground attack variant (derived from the Ki-96 and Ki-108) in a high altitude role. The aircraft were converted and saw service against B-29s at the end of the war, but only 238 were built. This is a well detailed model with many photoetched details. Never started. Includes two factory-sealed and very large sets of aftermarket Bird of Time Decals for the top of one wing and the bottom of the other. This famous design and superb flier was re-engineered in this issue for lighter weight and easier building. It features a 3-meter split wing for easy transportation, unique airfoil that produces lift almost out to the tips, full moving stabilator with internal control linkage, all balsa structure with fully sheeted leading edge, die-cut balsa and plywood parts, many factory-cut balsa parts, wood stock as required, excellent full-size plans and more. Inside, the kit is exactly as it left the factory. It is never started and the parts that were factory sealed are still in the clear sealed bags. The larger parts were never sealed and are inventoried complete. Includes all paperwork. NOTE: this kit came from the factory in a very heavy and sturdy cardboard box. Rare and still factory sealed. This AHM release is from the original Crown molds that would make it 1/50 scale; Burn guide lists the mold origins as unknown and lists it as 1/48. Crown made a very good line of motorized tanks and AHM reissued many of them. Associated Hobby Manufactures was an American company that did not cut it's own molds but sourced model kits from around the world through the 1960s and probably into the 1970s as well.
