Aurora German Gotha G.V Bomber, 1/48, 126-198

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

$79

Ross Abare issue Gotha in 'Excellent' condition. Mr. Abare, a rare kits dealer in the earliest days of the hobby, contracted with Aurora to produce a copy of the original 1958 kit. However, Aurora has the printers use the mid 1960s oval logo without the 'Famous Fighters' in the border- thus forever separating the Abare issue from the original issue. Mr. Abare was reportedly quite upset, as he wanted exact copies. Molded in deep burgundy and black plastic. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The box has perfect color and gloss but some very light general wear and a light crease in the upper left hand corner.

Aurora Gotha Bomber G-V - Parents Magazine Seal Issue, 1/48, 126-198

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good++

$85

First issue dated 1958 with 'Famous Fighters in the sunburst logo, Parents Magazine seal and the 1.98 price circle at the upper right. Jo Kotula, a famous commercial aircraft illustrator, painted the stunning artwork. Molded in a stunning gloss deep burgundy and black. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. This model is part of a very successful 1/48 scale WWI series that Aurora started in 1956. They sold so well that they introduced new kits almost annually well into the 1960s. Some sold well right up until the end of Aurora in the mid 1970s.

Aurora De Haviland DH-10 Bomber - Parents Magazine Seal Issue, 1/48, 125-198

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG++

$85

The box is in 'very good++' condition with like new color and gloss, four solid corners and no tape or price tags. Flaws include general shelf wear as shown, a very light stain by the word 'Assembly' and another light stain on one side (the top long panel, lower part). Molded in the correct glossy dark olive drab, black and clear plastic. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Aurora Fokker D-7 - (D-VII DVII), 1/48, 106-100

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: NM+

$54

This model is in amazing 'Near Mint+' condition. It would have been 'Mint' but the factory-applied price suffix stickers fell off, and they left a small area of residue from the old adhesive. The kit is dated 1958, but still has original 1956 box art. The actual issue date is from the mid-1960s due to the blue oval logo. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete including all parts, decals and instructions.

Aurora Sopwith Camel, 1/48, 102-100

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: NM+

$34

Early 1960s John Steel box art issue exceptional in 'near mint+' condition. This is only the second box artwork used for this kit, as Steel replaced Cox for the Aurora's 'new look'. NOTE: this kit has minor and 'professional' quality assembly to two parts: engine to cowl. There is no other assembly. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. This is part of the famous Aurora WWI series of 1/48 scale aircraft. The series began in 1956 and Aurora added new kits into the early 1960s. The line proved incredibly popular, so these kits were included in the 'mold upgrade' in the 1970s before Aurora went out of business.
