Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good-

$12

Sale Pending
Email for availability.

Early to mid 1960s issue with high-gloss, wrap around box art and before Heller kits carried kit numbers. The 63.II was a further development of the successful Potez 631 and was used in the scouting and observation role. Four squadrons were equipped with this type. They saw heavy action and 63.11 losses were the greatest of all Armee de l'Air combat aircraft during the Invasion of France. NOTE: this kit has minor, 'professional' quality subassembly as follows: elevator and wing halves; gear doors to lower wing; clear side windows; nacelles and engine fronts; cockpit tub. There is also minor interior-only paint. The aircraft has been inventoried with all parts present and includes decals and instructions, however NOTE: the display stand is missing.

Revell Boeing 747 Aerolineas Argentians Jumbo Jet - Lodela, 1/144, RH4513

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

$89

Very rare Lodela issue. The kit appears to be from the early to mid 1980s as the side panel mentions that in 1987 Aerolineas Argentinas celebrates 20 years of service between Argentina and Mexico (I base that on a 1949 start date for Aerolineas Argentinas). Features extensive decals with all side stripes, fin flash, name boards and more, fine raised and many recessed panel lines, detailed landing gear that can be built retracted or extended, detail main gear bay, good engine inlet and exhaust detail and a large display stand. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.

Pyro Russian Missile Tracking Fishing Trawler (Spy Ship), 1/96, C247-398

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG++

$125

Rare early 1960s hardbox issue with dramatic and colorful artwork by AJ Rudisill of the 'trawler' monitoring Polaris SLBM test launches while a SSBN lurks off the starboard side. In the early 1960s the appearance of the Russian 'Fishing Fleet' loaded with sensors to track US Missile tests or fleet communications prompted the Pyro company to issue this kit with a 'Communist Red' molded hull, tan decks and black fittings. Large scale and well detailed for that time, the model measures 17 inches long when assembled. The kit has never been started. All the small parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags; the larger parts were never sealed and inventoried complete. With instructions. Pyro did not include decals with this kit.

Aurora P-51 Mustang Screwdriver Issue, 1/27, 377-350

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed NM+

$275

Still factory sealed and in remarkable investment-grade 'Near Mint+' condition. The seal is intact. 1969 hardbox issue. This kit was originally designed as a gas powered flying model. However, Aurora discontinued the gas powered line very shortly after introduction due to returns and liability issues. Since the mold investment was already made, Aurora marketed these kits as large scale static models and they became know as "Screwdriver Kits" to collectors. For example, the 1/32 scale B-25 was issued in Gas U-Control and then static - but the P-51 may have only been issued in static.

Aurora Republic P-47 D Thunderbolt, 1/53, 81-100

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed Exc+

$89

Factory sealed and rare in this condition. Dated 1964 but most likely from about 1965/66. From ex-Comet molds. Comet was an early kit manufacture that produced a nice line of small and mid-scale civil and military kits before selling the molds to Aurora. For many kits, Comet cut both small scale and medium to large scale molds. This is the larger of the two P-47 molds by Comet and it features all recessed panel lines and the aircraft is in 'in flight' configuration.

Aurora SNJ Trainer, 1/48, 80-130

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed NM

$65

Still factory sealed. Aurora of Canada issue dated 1964. This was a good kit for the time, featuring 'good' cockpit detail, pilot and student figures, rotating prop and US Navy decals.

Revell Mitsubishi J2M3 Raiden Jack - Japan Issue, 1/32, H288-1800

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc+

$125

Very rare Revell of Japan/Takara issue dated 1983. It has unique artwork that is only found on this issue. Revell of Japan kits usually have special features, and this one is no exception. First, there is a beautiful full-color painting guide which is also dated 1983. Second, there is a very large decal sheet with options for four Japanese versions and one American Evaluation Aircraft. This model was well detailed and molded for that time and features all very fine recessed panel lines, full cockpit, complete engine detail with removable cowling, retracting landing gear, detailed gear wells, detailed cannon bay with cannons and removable access panels and optional position canopy. The model has never been started. Inventoried with all plastic parts, decals and instructions present. It even includes the original small tube of plastic model glue.

It has been reported the light construction of the aircraft prevented the ship's AA ammunition proximity fuses from detonating.
