Athearn Sante Fe ATSF F3A And F3B Freight Locomotives Genesis - HO Scale, 1/87, 0G2502B

Metal and Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: NM

Sold

Superbly detailed Genesis issue powered A and B locomotives. Although in excellent condition, these have been run because I can see some wheel wear. They were run more than just a test run; however, they were not run very much as there are no other signs of wear and use. The "B" unit is in perfect physical condition. The "A" unit has one flaw - one horn is broken off, but that horn is present so you can repair it. Each is 100% complete and includes all three factory boxes (a box for each locomotive and the external sleeve for both those boxes), all the original factory black foam packing material and one Genesis "Owners Guide" with exploded parts diagram on the back. I have no way to test these locomotives so they are sold as-is.

ITC Halibut Diving Motorized Submarine - (SSGN 587 Cam-A-Matic Electric Powered Regulus Sub), 1/175, 3660-998

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

Sold

From 1960. This model is the zenith of the ITC Design and Engineering Team, and maybe of all operational plastic model kits. It is not only rare but is considered the most complicated operating model ever produced. The large 24.75 inch submarine sails from the power of a large electric motor driving twin geared propellers. It changes headings, dives, surfaces, and a Regulus II missile comes out of the hanger and launches...all automatically. The engineering on this kit is fantastic and a major break-through for that time. The model worked, and did work well, but was certainly not a toy for inexperienced model builders. The high price ($9.98) and difficulties that youngsters had with assembly and operation made for a short production run. The fact the ITC left the model business for good shortly after releasing the kit contributed to the scarcity as well. Inside, the kit is in excellent condition. It has never been started. Remarkably, all the parts that ITC factory sealed are still in the factory sealed bags. The few that were never sealed were displayed on the blue cardboard and are 100% present. The blue display cardboard is all present and in 'excellent' condition with no stains and very light discoloration as the only flaw. The boxtop is only graded 'good'; it is complete and has brilliant color and gloss but has most of the typical problems. There is plenty of general wear, a very light stain, edge wear, creases and corner wear and storage scuffs. One outside corner has been very neatly taped. The long top and bottom edges had the usual closed splits; these and the other split corners were correctly and neatly repaired from the underside. NOTE: this kit must be shipped insured.

Planet Models Focke-Wulf Triebflugel, 1/48, 075

Resin Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

Sold

Limited edition resin model featuring very fine recessed panel lines, excellent cockpit and more. Nicely detailed with many parts. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. Although ingenious, the pilot would have faced the same problems of the later VTOL designs from the 1950s.

Alliance Pulqui I IAe-27 - Argentine Air Force, 1/72, 72010

Resin Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

Sold

Rare. Beautifully cast in high-definition resin with all fine recessed panel lines, cockpit, optional position landing gear and full decals. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The IAe-27 Pulqui was the first jet aircraft to be designed and built in Argentina supposedly it was the 6th nation to accomplish this feat. It was designed as a single-seat interceptor capable of operating from relatively short and unprepared runways. The first prototype flew for the first time on August 9th, 1947 but the performance was disappointing. With the FMA IAe 33 Pulqui II already in the advanced design stage, test flights continued but there was no production. The single prototype has been restored and is on display in Argentina. Although it did not see service, it was an important step in Argentina's aerospace history.
