Revell Whip-Fly Russian Yak-25 Flashlight - Sound and Streamers, 1/50, H158-129

Rare. Based on the 1950s Yak-25 "S" kit, the Flashlight Whip Fly comes with USSR decals, flight ballast, handle, 12 feet of control line, control ring, colorful streamers for the jet engines and a underside pod which is a in-flight whistle! Never started. All parts and all paperwork are still in the factory sealed bag. The long side of the box shows the complete Whip-Fly series with the action box art, which includes H151 F9F-8 Cougar, H152 F-84F, H153 F-89D Scorpion, H154 F8U-1 Crusader, H155 F-39 Airacobra and H156 F-101A Voodoo. Although not listed yet, there was also a Whip-Fly Canberra, F-106 and Yak-25 Flashlight. The Whip-Fly series seemed like a good idea...at first. Revell quickly realized that spinning heavily-ballasted, sharp objects at dizzying speeds in or outside the home near groups of children was not the best idea. The series was quickly discontinued.

1960s hardbox issue. Can be built wheels up or down and comes with full, nicely done TWA decals and a display stand. Very fine raised panel detail. Box artwork is by Tom Morgan, who did most if not all of this issue of the Lindberg small airliners. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions.

Factory sealed. The box is in investment-grade "Near Mint" condition. The seal is 100% intact but there is a closed split or cut in the middle. Dated 1960 and the first issue with this artwork. Note the 79 cent price extension and "Famous Fighters" in the border of the oval sunburst logo, which is unique to the 1960 release.

Early issue from 1957. This release has the the Parents' Magazine seal on the lower left of the box art. Molded in the correct gloss light gray and black. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Even includes the original factory tissue paper. This is part of the famous Aurora WWI series of 1/48 scale aircraft. The series began in 1956 and Aurora added new kits into the early 1960s. The line proved incredibly popular so many of these kits were included in the 'mold upgrade' in the 1970s before Aurora went out of business in '76.

1973 issue with a modification of Tom Morgan's earlier box artwork. The model features movable ailerons, wing flaps, rudder, pilot and copilot figures and a large, clear round-base stand. Molded in white and clear plastic. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Rare, large scale (1/48) Boomerang. Features superb resin castings with very fine recessed panel lines, very good cockpit, a perfect canopy (not yellowed and perfect), canopy master so you can make more, many cast metal details a more. Never started and complete with all parts and plans/drawings. Classic Castings Limited advertised as "The Finest In Urethane Castings" and it was no idle boast back in 1990 when this kit was made. The address was 1520 Pesnell Drive, Gardendale, Alabama. They issued several kits and a large number of accessories. This list is not complete: 1/48 P-26A, Northrop A-17 Nomad, CA-12 and A-17A, radial engine blanks with 7 and 9 rows for several different engines, crank case engine fronts (5 types), 11 types of Jet Intake FOD plugs and more. They also list a 1/48 F9F and prototypes for 6 other quarter-scale aircraft as well.

Includes decals and a beautiful full color painting & marking guide for 8 aircraft. There is even a full color cutaway showing interior detail. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. Some of the LS molds are still in use by Hasegawa, testifying to the their detail and accuracy.
