Monogram Phantom Of The Opera Luminators Glow In The Dark - (ex Aurora), 1/8, 1624

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed Exc+

$39

Still factory sealed. Great builder kit dated 1992 and made from the original Aurora molds. In 1977 Monogram purchased the Aurora molds and only reissued the best and most commercially viable models. This monster and others were issued in the early 1990s, probably after re-negotiating the license agreement with Universal (as hinted to on the box side). Molded in a stunning glow-in-the-dark plastic that also glows with a black light.

Monogram Japanese Submarine I-19 with Glen Seaplane - (ex Aurora), 1/275, 3103

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

$64

From original Aurora molds. The I-19 is famous for firing history's most successful torpedo spread off Guadalcanal. On September 14, 1942, the I-19 was patrolling of the Solomons when the crew made visual contact with the American forces. After working into position, she fired a 6 torpedo spread. Three hit and sank the US Carrier CV-7 WASP, and the remaining three exploded against the BB North Carolina and the destroyer O'Brien. The destroyer sank and the North Carolina had to be repaired at Pearl till November 16, 1942. The I-19's Glen seaplane also flew night reconnaissance on February 23, 1942 over Pearl Harbor for the planned second attack by Emily flying boats on that base. She was depth-charged and sunk by DD-446 Radford on 11.25.43, off Makin Island. Large scale kit is almost 16 inches long when assembled. This is an excellent model for that time from Aurora's improved efforts of the late 1960s/early 1970s. Aurora knew that the older kits were outclassed and cut a new series of better molds including several ships, helos and subs. The result was higher mold quality and very good detail, such as this kit. Includes display stand, decals, periscope and cranes, Glen seaplane, conning tower and deck guns. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried and NOTE: missing one small part, #22. Easily made as it is simple cylinder with a flattened head. Otherwise complete with all other parts and includes decals and instructions.

Heller TWO Morane Saulnier MS-230 / Morane 225 / TWO Dewoitine 501, 1/72, L098

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good+ to VG

$27

SALE!! Includes all 5 kits in the three boxes shown. NOTE: Sold AS-IS and not inventoried. This collector was very meticulous and of his kits that I did inventory, 95% are complete. But on these kits he cut the sprue (trees) with the part numbers still attached to each number, so the parts are loose. Because of that, I have not inventoried these kits. NOTE: he built minor sub assemblies (cockpit tubs, wing halves, etc) to 'professional' quality. He also almost always removed the displays stands (if provided). Again, these kits are sold not inventoried and AS IS hence the very low price. Early Heller 'L' issues with wonderful, full box artwork. From the mid 1960s.
