Rare. Late 1950s/early 1960s early issue with a high-gloss box top and very collectible artwork. Nicely molded kit for that time featuring realistically folding wings, working ailerons, crew of two, wiring and remote control battery holder. It is engineered to be motorized with a Mabuchi Baby Motor, which Aoshima did not furnish (it was available separately). The model as never been started. All parts are still sealed in the factory clear internal bag. Includes decals and instructions.

Aoshima Kasuga Maru- NYK Pacific Ocean Liner - (Converted to Aircraft Carrier Taiyo), 1/700, 01502-1000

1/700 scale waterline model that is highly detailed and finely molded. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The Kasuga Maru was one of a class of three Japanese ocean liners that were built for the Nippon Yusen K line. She was launched in September 1940 and saw very little or no service (accounts vary) as a transport before her conversion to the escort carrier Taiyo. Given the size and machinery of this class of liner, the IJN subsidized their construction and knew they would make fine escort carriers. The Taiyo went on to have a very active career. She was attacked many times and damaged several times. Taiyo was eventually sunk in a submarine attack in August 1944 with a heavy loss of life by the USS Rasher.

Aoshima Yawatamaru Pacific Ocean Liner - (Yawata Maru), 1/700, 01501-1000

1/700 scale waterline model that is very highly detailed and finely molded. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The Yawata Maru was one of a class of Japanese ocean liners that were built for the Nippon Yusen KK line. She was launched on October 31, 1939 from her builder, Mitsubishi Shipbuilding & Engineering Co. at Nagasaki. She did see peacetime service as an ocean liner for a short period. After war was declared, Yawata Maru was rebuilt at Kure Naval Yard as the Taiyo-class escort carrier Unyo. She had a very active war career but was sunk by two torpedoes from USS Barb on September 17, 1944.

Very large kit. Although this is the static display version (with no motorizing parts), this is a simple conversion to R/C operation. Very well detailed featuring one piece full hull, complete deck fittings, detailed superstructure, seaplanes, catapults and much more. The actual ship has never been started but NOTE: the display stand is 80% assembled to 'excellent' quality. There is no other assembly. All small parts are still in the factory sealed bags. Only the largest parts and stand parts are not sealed and they have been inventoried complete. With instructions.

In addition there are US Stars and Bars for the WWII Military version and a full color, high quality copy of the original 1938 Beechcraft sales brochure. Never started.
