From the mid 1960s. This 19 inch wingspan kit is designed for free flight with 'easy conversion to control line or R/C flying.' It features an innovative system for automatically dropping 'propaganda leaflets' in flight, high quality die-cut balsa parts, factory-cut spars and stringers, light-weight plastic cowl/radiator, pilot bust and twin machine guns, rubber motor, plastic propeller, all hardaware, thrust button, covering tissue and more. Includes a large and very colorful decal sheet in amazing 'near mint' condition and Sterling's excellent full size plans with instructions. Never started and inventoried 100% complete with all parts and paperwork present. Sterling was a famous manufacturer dating back to the 1930/40s flying model craze. Although they continued to produce kits for decades after the flying model slump following World War II, they eventually fell victim to the general lack of interest in modeling that occurred in the early 1980s. I always considered Sterling kits to be deluxe kits as they featured color decals, high-grade die cut balsa, vacuform plastic detail parts, plastic wheels (if required), finished wire landing gear, rubber motor and plastic prop, full size plans with instruction details and full instructions for conversion to RC or control line.

Dated 1958 with 'Famous Fighters in the sunburst logo and the 1.98 price circle at the upper right. Jo Kotula composed the stunning composition for Aurora; by this point, his commercial art in aviation was in high demand. This big and impressive model is molded in a stunning gloss deep burgundy and black. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. This model is part of a very successful 1/48 scale WWI series that Aurora started in 1956. They sold so well that they introduced new kits almost annually well into the 1960s. Some sold well right up until the end of Aurora in the mid 1970s. The box has factory-new color and gloss but flaws include a crease at the upper left and light wear as shown, especially near the 198 price circle.

Rare and especially in this condition. This is the 1963 original issue. The Bandit was another of Ed Roth's incredible custom car creations that won him recognition across the USA. The kit features a blown Olds engine, one piece body, hinged bubble top, extra competition 'goodies', 'T' Top mag wheels, competition windshield, detailed chassis, full interior and more. Molded in the correct white, clear, red-tinted clear, chrome plate and with rubber tires. The kit has never been started. The bag containing the rubber tires, whitewall stickers, metal rivets & clear red parts is still factory sealed. All other parts have been inventoried complete. Decals and instructions are present and in 'excellent+++' condition.
