Frog TWO Fairy Swordfish / TWO Hawker Hurricane IIC / TWO Spitfire Mk.8/9, 1/72, F258

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Reboxed to VG

$27

SALE!! Includes all 6 kits in the three boxes shown. NOTE: Sold AS-IS and not inventoried. This collector was very meticulous and of his kits that I did inventory, 95% are complete. But on these kits he cut the sprue (trees) with the part numbers still attached to each number, so the parts are loose. Because of that, I have not inventoried these kits. NOTE: he built minor sub assemblies (cockpit tubs, wing halves, etc) to 'professional' quality. He also almost always removed the displays stands. Again, these kits are sold not inventoried and AS IS hence the very low price. Please note that the Hurricanes were originally bagged, he re-boxed them into Frog 'Red Series' boxes from other kits and pasted the header to the box top.

Early to mid 1960s issue with high-gloss, wrap around box art and before Heller kits carried kit numbers. The 63.II was a further development of the successful Potez 631 and was used in the scouting and observation role. Four squadrons were equipped with this type. They saw heavy action and 63.11 losses were the greatest of all Armee de l'Air combat aircraft during the Invasion of France. 'Yellow Box' issue but not the glossy version. Excellent armed reconnaissance bomber that first flew in January of 1939. By the time of the German Invasion, only 50 had been made and only one unit operated the aircraft exclusively. The excellent performance allowed the existing 174s to be used extensively with little losses. After the Armistice, it continued to operate with the Vichy forces. Some saw action along side the Allies during TORCH in North Africa.
