1970s reissue of the older kit. Kit features traditional stick and tissue construction, color insignia, fully finished wood wheels, rubber motor, hardware, tissue, plastic propeller and detailed full size plans/instructions. The model has not been started. Inventoried complete with all parts and instructions. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

Features typical stick and tissue construction with quality printwood, stripwood, formed wheels, plastic prop, rubber motor, covering material and excellent plans with instructions. From 1966. Rare kit from an Aurora association with MAD magazine. The kit sold poorly and were quickly discontinued - which has made them rare collector's items. Molded in correct peach colored plastic with a round display base and all accessories shown on the box top. This kit has never been started. It is inventoried complete with all parts, base sticker and instructions. The sticker correctly says 'I Know That Homework Never Killed Anyone - But I'm Not Taking Any Chances!'.

1961 'Master Modelers Club' and 'Air Power' hardbox issue sporting the original 'S' kit box artwork. The kit is like new inside. It still contains the rare B-25 trading stamp, 1/25 scale Replica of the 1962 Revell Catalog and the F-106 and B-29 Trading Cards. All parts are still sealed in the factory bag and the decals and instructions are excellent. The actual kit is a reissue of from the original 'S' molds right down to the 'Flying Dragon' decals. Features rotating turrets and propellers and pilot, copilot & bomber figures.

Life-Like Monitor and Merrimac - (ex-Pyro Molds), 09257

The Monitor is 10 inches long and the Merrimac is 11 inches long when built. These are not the Lindberg kits but are from the original Pyro molds and have superior detail to the Lindberg issues. The kits have never been started. The Merrimac is still in the factory sealed bag; the Monitor has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions. The Monitor and Merrimac are the two American Civil War ships that spelled the end of the wooden ship age. In March of 1862, the Merrimac put to sea to raise the Union Blockade off the St. James. There she sank the Cumberland and Congress. The Monitor, the Union's only ironclad and the first turret ship, was rushed to the scene. The epic battle between the two iron-clad ships ended in a draw, with the Merrimac suffering a little more damage than the Monitor. The Merrimac was blown up to avoid capture; the Monitor sank in a gale in 1862.

There are NO major parts - the body, underbody, interior tub, hood, engine etc are missing. First issue dated 1966. This kit is part of the very famous line of 1/48 scale World War II action kits. Finely molded and detailed for that time with traditional Monogram quality. Features optional parts so you can built a the shipbased (float) or wheeled land version, good cockpit detail, underwing bombs, elevating and rotating gun, pilot and gunner figures, five piece canopy that can be positioned closed or in several open configurations and choice of US Navy or Royal Navy decals. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The Royal Navy aircraft were called Kingfisher I and 100 of them were delivered with both wheel and float gear. The US Navy aircraft is that of Lieutenant William F. Eadie from a Kingfisher squadron based in the Ellice Islands. He spotted and rescued Capt. Eddie Rickenbacker and his companions after they had been on a raft in the Pacific for 21 days and virtually given up for lost. Lt. Eadie moved the most injured into the radio compartment while Rickenbacker and the other crew member were lashed to the wings. Eadie figured that the aircraft could not fly, and luckily he met a PT boat and transfered the uninjured men to it.
