The kit is molded in a beautiful light gloss baby blue and clear and has a much more extensive decal sheet than the USA issue. Never started. Inventoried with all parts, decals and instructions but NOTE: canopy is one piece and the instructions call for a three-piece canopy. The canopy is Revell as it fits the fuselage perfectly.

Jo-Han 1961 Oldsmobile Super 88 Four Door Hardtop Promo, 1/25

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

Sold

Rare flywheel powered promotional in superb condition. The model was obtained in the mid 1960s by a discriminating adult collector in Lexington KY. This model has never been displayed and was always kept on a box. The paint gloss is like new but there are the typical age spots on the upper white surfaces (hood and trunk). The rear and front bumpers have intact and 'excellent' chrome with a slight loss of luster. There is zero body warp and the clear is in 'near mint' condition. I would grade this one 7 out of 10 with 10 flawless. The deduction is because of the paint age spots. The box is an old box but is NOT original to this kit.

Blue Bird Fokker D-VII and SE-5A - Bagged, 1/130

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc+

Sold

Very rare and probably from the 1970s. Still factory sealed and includes both scale models. "Blue Bird" is not listed in any of Burn's guide books and there has not been a sale in an on-line auction in the last 10 years. They were made in Japan. These are small-scale models with about 25 parts each and decals. There are instructions (text) and an exploded parts diagram on the back of the top card. Part of the text reads "Inserting the shaft into the hole of propeller or wheels, melt the end of them down with something like a burnt iron." Many thanks to collector and builder Harry Nakano in Japan who wrote that Blue Bird was an old plastic model company in Japan which issued four biplane models in about 1/130 scale. The four kits were bagged with colorful artwork headers and included the Fokker D-7, Albatros D-V, Sopwith Camel and S.E.-5A.

Revell Hawker Siddeley Harrier - RAF or US Marines VMA-513, 1/32, H194

Testors U-2 and SR-71A / SR-71B / CIA A-12/M-12, 1/48, 4055

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good-

Sold

NOTE: builder kit only. Please read carefully. The U-2 is still factory sealed and includes very nice decals and HAWK instructions (this Testors kit is a reissue from Hawk molds). The SR-71 has been started and is missing one part. The cockpit has been built and installed, and the forward fuselage has been assembled (parts 7, 20 & 24) and both cockpit/rear canopy fairings. #16 and #17 have been glued to the rear fuselage. Four clear camera windows are neatly glued to the lower fuselage. NOTE: quality of assembly ranged from 'very good' to only 'good.' There are no gaps in the fuselage but there is some visible glue. The worst part is that the builder glued BOTH the SR-71 A and B rear cockpit/canopy fairings on - that is a mess. NOTE: missing nose gear strut. Otherwise inventoried with all other parts, decals and instructions present. I only recommend the SR-71 as a parts kit, hence the low price.

UPC Martin MB-2 Bomber - (ex-ITC), 1/50, 5065-100

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

Sold

Purchased new in 1966 in Cleveland, Ohio. From ITC molds and a very nice kit for that time. The famous first bomber to sink a battleship under any circumstances. Billy Mitchell arranged to have the ex-WWI German Battleship Ostfriesland used as target practice for for 6 MB-2s, and the ship sank in 25 minutes. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. UPC stood for Universal Powermaster Corporation which was based out of New York City, NY. UPC did not cut their own molds, but bought kits already molded from other manufacturers and re-boxed the kits in the USA. Scott Eidson, the famous artist best known for his artwork with Revell, also did UPC box art in the 1960s. All UPC production ended in the 1970s.
