Includes real sprung metal trucks. Roundhouse (by Model Die Casting) was a famous manufacture of HO Craftsman kits in the 1940s/1950s. This is one of their all- metal car kits. Very well detailed and crisply cast with little or no flash. Molded in details are superb. Features all metal one piece roof, three piece roof walk, car ends, floor and undercarriage, factory painted and lettered sides for The Katy Line (yellow and black), three piece brake set, couplers, pocket doors, bushings, screws as needed, grab irons, full instructions with drawings and more. The prepainted sides are excellent. One of the four sides has a bubble in the paint that can be easily glued down. (See Photo, left) The roof, floor, ends, doors and car sides are very flat and straight for easy assembly. The kit has never been started. Most small parts are still sealed in the factory envelopes. The parts that were not factory sealed have been inventoried complete including instructions.

Kit features pre-cut and pre-scribed hardwood sides that are factory painted green and decorated with white, red and yellow lettering for Railway Express, cut and pre-milled hardwood 'round' roof and floor, hardwood pre-cut and scribed car ends, cast metal underframe, wood and metal stock as required, metal ladders, reefer doors, ice hatches, end sills and brake wheel, metal grab irons, brake details and more. Rare model dated 1964. This is a bigger scale, full hull kit that Revell says "…is suitable for radio control operation, see special notes." Features movable rudder, one bigger drive prop and four dummy scale props, gearbox drive and turrets that rotate left and right as it sails. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The kit is from the original Lindberg molds; it would be interesting to know how Revell of Germany ended up with that tooling. While Revell notes that the plastic parts are present for motorizing, they also state that "metal and rubber parts, motor and cables are not included in the kit."

Still factory sealed. From quality Frog molds. Box art is by the famous Jo Kotula who did 1930s covers for the magazine 'Model Airplane News' and later the Aurora box art of the late 1950s. Air Lines kits are all Frog molds that the Lines Brothers imported to the USA between 1964-1966. The kits, decals and instructions were made in England, then imported to the USA where Testors created the boxes with the colorful trading cards on the back. There are one or two trading cards on each box which show the boxart but not the advertising/logo. Some kits contain a Testors color painting guide also, but it is not specific to any model.
