Monogram Boeing 2707-200 SST United Airlines, 1/400, PA211-100

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good+++

Sold

This is the 1968 release of this kit, which may have only been issued twice. The Boeing SST was modeled here in the second (-200) variant which still had the swing-wing design which proved impractical in this aircraft. The damaging effects of sonic booms over population centers ultimately contributed to the cancellation of the project. Nicely molded with all recessed panel lines. The kit has wings that swing, United Airlines decals and a unique display stand. This kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Imai Junkers Ju-87 Stuka Dive Bomber, 1/50, 3

Larger scale Stuka is well molded and includes working rudder, elevator, dropping bomb that swings clear of the prop, elevating rear gun and working canopy. The kit comes with all hardware for motorizing. The Mabuchi Baby Motor was not furnished by Imai and had to be purchased separately. This kit includes a beautiful color print of the box art (with no advertising) that is suitable for framing. The model as never been started. The parts are either still in the factory sealed bag or have been inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Pyro Destroyer USS Allen M. Sumner DD-692, 149-89

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc++

Sold

Very rare. Pyro's first ship kits were the BB Missouri, CA Chicago, CV Shangri-La and DD Sumner in the early 1950s. This example is in exceptional condition for it's age. The one-piece box is sound and the colors are as new. It is molded in dark gray and black plastic. The scale is no listed, but the built model is about 9 inches long. The unopened original tube of glue is included. The kit has never been started and has been inventoried complete with all parts and instructions.

Ideal Aeroplane & Supply CV-7 USS Wasp Aircraft Carrier - 18.5 Inch Long Wooden Ship Kit

Wood Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

Sold

Very rare kit from 1941. Measured 18.5 inches long when assembled. Nicely designed kit that includes a very unusual detailed hanger deck assembly. Issued shortly before the war, the model was not reissued after the war since the Wasp was lost off Guadalcanal by what is likely the most damaging submarine torpedo salvo in history. Includes completely pre-molded and shaped wood-material hull in excellent, solid condition, 5 sheets of cleanly done printwood, wood stock in many shapes and sizes, a sealed fittings packet (I can tell that it contains at least the oval funnel) and two packs of Casco Glue. Features excellent full size plans and instructions. The plans show numerous detail view of the ships substructure and a detailed view of the hanger deck, flight deck with pre-war markings and island. Never started. Factory sealed fittings bag with the other parts inventoried complete with instructions.

Revell SMS Seeadler (Sea Eagle) German WWI Commerce Raider, 1/232, H331-300

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc-

Sold

Rare 1966 kit of a fantastic subject - the famous WWI sailing commerce raider of Count Felix Von Luckner. The SMS Seeadler was a unique WWI raider in that it was not designed to elude the British blockade and break out to sea...it was designed to pass right through the blockade within full view of the British before attacking allied shipping around the world. No detail was overlooked in the Seeadler's preparation, right down to a Norwegian-speaking crew. The plan went perfectly - and the Seeadler passed inspection at the British Blockade. Her non-threatening appearance helped her in an active and colorful raiding career that nearly went around the world. I highly recommend reading any of several books that you can find about this ship. Von Luckner himself became quite a celebrity for his exciting exploits. Very well detailed kit. Never started. All parts are still in the factory sealed bag. Instructions and all other paperwork is present and still sealed in the factory bag.
