Still factory sealed. This is the G.F. Menzies reissue of the classic Athearn kit. It builds into a very realistic model because the kit uses the same materials as the prototype. All sides, doors and roof are fully decorated and in mint condition, still factory sealed inside. Includes wooden floor, opening doors, metal underside and detail fittings such as AB brake set, brake wheel, etc. Even the doors and car ends are factory painted! Makes a great stand alone models or high-quality rolling stock for your line. Some modeling skills recommended. Comet was a very famous manufacturer of flying stick and tissue as well as solid aircraft models. What is less well known is that Comet produced HO equipment during the HO boom of the late 1930s/1940s. This is an excellent kit from 1939 with plans drawn by the famous model designer Fred Schlienz. The kit features precut and shaped wooden roof, underside and frame, metal ladders, grab irons and other small parts, and heavy embossed and pre-decorated cardstock sides and metal trucks. Features very well drawn full size plans. This kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. It is in a blank white box.

Kit features all die-cut fuselage bulkheads, fully sheeted fuselage construction with quick alignment box top assembly jig, foam core wings, scale operating fowler flaps, scale retractable ball turret, scale operating bomb bays, plastic molded cowls, superchargers, guns, control wheels, clear plastic turrets, canopies and windows (still in excellent condition), giant three view plan sheets, very detailed and illustrated step-by-step assembly manual and three large sheets of full color decals. Also includes a copy of the actual B-24 flight manual, Squadron's B-24 In Action book and an additional set of large plans that show the panel lines and other details of the completed aircraft.
