1970s issue that features traditional wood/tissue construction, quality print and stripwood, fully finished wheels, propeller and thrust button, metal propeller shaft/rubber hook, rubber motor, clear canopy material, covering tissue and detailed full size plans with building instructions. Never started and inventoried complete. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached their peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

Rare, limited edition injection molded kit of this historic but little known aircraft. The model is made by Eurokits of Paris, France. It features injection molded white parts, 'good' cockpit, full landing gear and more. There are two vacuform clear sheets of windows including cabin windows; all windows are perfectly clear (not yellowed) and in 'mint' condition. There is a colorful and extensive decal sheet and a large (1/72 scale) painting guide for three aircraft: the Spanish Nationalist Air Force 'hack' aircraft of No.11 Squadron 1936/1939, a civil airliner of LAPE (Spanish Air Mail Airlines) in Spanish Republican colors 1938 and French Air Force 1944/45 I/31 Bomber Squadron used to bomb German-occupied Atlantic harbors in France. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

This model dates from 1978 and features very fine raised panel lines and some recessed panel lines, cockpit and crew, rotating turrets, optional parts for all versions including unique RAAF aircraft, rotating propellers and wheels, optional position bomb bay doors for two variants (no bomb load included) and decals with paint guide for three aircraft. The RAAF aircraft is a natural silver finish. NOTE: this kit has minor, 'professional' quality subassembly as follows: (1) bulkhead to the left fuselage half; (1) seat to the cockpit floor, (1) set of wing halves. There is no other assembly. Very Rare original issue from the late 1962. AMT's early truck kits were fantastic, but sales were very low which has made them rare today. This kit features parts for all three versions, a tube of unopened AMT body putty, the original sandpaper, detailed engine & engine options, detailed engine compartment, opening hood, detailed underside, full interior, a host of custom body parts, accessories including lug wrench, torque wrench, spare battery, oil and gas cans, air horns, roof flasher unit and dome, running lights, push bumper, go-cart racks and a very well detailed 1/25 same-scale go-kart with an optional streamlined body shell. Molded in gloss white/ivory, clear, red-tinted clear, chrome plate, rubber tires and with metal axles and body screws. Even includes the whitewall tire decals and special instruction sheet for them. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried with all of the parts and accessories present but NOTE: missing decals. The instructions are photocopies; the original instructions are missing. There is one very minor tire burn to the back of custom body scoop.

This actual airframe has survived at was (or is) at the Pima Air and Space Museum.
