Very large 1/72 scale kit measures over 31 inches tall when assembled. Features liquid fuel tank, two solid rocket boosters, detailed cargo bay and special stand. Has markings for several Shuttles - Enterprise, Endeavour, Discovery, Columbia, Challenger and Atlantis. Molded in white and clear with a black display base. The kit has never been started. Most parts are still in the factory sealed internal bags. The parts that were not sealed (and one bag split open) have been inventoried complete. With decals and instructions.

Rare. From the early to mid 1970s. Big scale model is designed for R/C operation, gas .020 or .049 control line/free flight and rubber powered- or even as a detailed static display model. Box art is by Locher, who did a great deal of the Monogram box artwork also. This is a very nice and well detailed model featuring 'Tube-O-Matic' fuselage construction, 'Rugged Super X Simplified Non-Warping Wing' light-weight plastic nose cowl, spinners, wheel pants, gear strut covers, interior seat backs, pilot bust and more, beautiful clear vacuformed windshield and side windows (in great condition, not yellowed), completely formed metal gear struts, finished wheels and nose button, plywood firewall, all die-cut balsawood, factory-cut stripwood and leading & trailing wing edges, covering tissue, very colorful and comprehensive insignia sheet, detailed full size plans with building instructions and more. The model has not been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

Wonderful kit from the 1950s. The carving is done to the final shape. When complete it makes an impressive desk top display. Features all high-quality hardwood main parts, full color decals, glue, wood filler and sandpaper. Never started. The small parts are still factory sealed. All other parts have been inventoried complete with all parts and plans. Before plastic kits were introduced, Strombecker was famous as the premier hardwood preshaped model manufacture. In the 1940s and 1950s, Strombecker kits were flawlessly engineered but not inexpensive. All wooden parts are hardwood and are precarved to shape - you only had to glue, sand and paint to finish them.

Second issue of this action kit. Features working suspension, treads, rotating turret, elevating gun, lock clamp for traveling position, detailed engine with removable hatch and crew members that take cover then pop up from hatches. Never started. NOTE: missing several small parts that can be made - (2) #39 small hinges (flat plates), (2) #43 very small hinges for the traveling lock, (2) #78 antenna, (1) #65 'U' shaped hand rail and (1) #68 'U' shaped lifting eye. Otherwise inventoried with all other parts, decals and instructions.

Very nice quality vacuform kit with very fine raised detail. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes plans/instructions. Exact-Vac was a small, two-man company which had acquired the 'Bald Eagle' line of kits. They reissued these quality kits in 1980 and production ended by 1985. They were headquartered out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. The full line included the following 1/48 kits: I-16, Yak-3, Me-163B, P-40N and Grumman Duck. Vacuform kits are only recommended for people experienced with this type of kit. Previous experience and scratch building skills are required.

Includes two very rare after market sets. One is the C Scale EB-66 C Conversion. Features superb cast metal parts and full instructions. Complete and not started; also included in a 2nd set of instructions and another set of the ECM fairings. Also included is DB Productions DB52 RB-66B Rear Fuselage Plug beautifully cast in high definition resin. Never used and complete. The Actual kit is the hard-to-find 1/72 version of the gun tailed B-66. This is the USAF version of the very large Navy Skywarrior A-3 or "Whale" as the carrier crews and flight crews called it due to its large size for a carrier aircraft. Features all recessed panel lines, detailed gear wells, cockpit detail and optional position landing gear. Contains a large, colorful decal sheet for two USAF aircraft - RB-66B 42nd TRW-England 1960 and RB-66B 19th TRW-England 1958. This is the early B-66 which is not that far removed externally from the original Navy A-3 Bomber. This B-66 still retains the tail stinger. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

One-owner kit purchased new on January 2, 1964 at Woolworth in Lexington, KY. Amazingly, it still includes the unopened tube of AMT Body Putty, sandpaper and upholstery material. Original hardbox issue from the early 1960s; not a reissue. Features stock or supercharged engine, detailed engine bay, opening hood, full interior, numerous custom parts, wild custom front and rear end treatments, accessories and custom decals. The kit has never been started. Inventoried with all plastic parts present and with white wall stickers, putty, sandpaper, upholstery, decals and instructions.

Aurora Fuel Injection Special 1953-54 Indianapolis 500 Winner - (ex-Best), 1/30, 526-79

Very rare and from 1958. From ex-Best molds. Aurora purchased the Best molds for the Indianapolis 500 Winners and made one issue. Kit is molded in gray with real rubber tires, a driver figure, some interior detail and very nice decals. The kit has never been started. The parts are still sealed in the internal factory bag and includes decals and instructions. Bill Vukovich was the driver of the Fuel Injection Special, which roared over the 500 miles in 3 hours, 53 minutes and 10 seconds. The average speed was 128.740 mph and he lead for 195 laps. Some laps were as fast as 138 mph. This car has magnesium disc wheels, and the first eight finishers also sported the same instead of the customary wire wheels.
