Kyosho Cessna 172 - For R/C or Free Flight

Wood and Metal Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

$55

This is a Kyosho kit made and packed in Japan in the 1960s but marketed by Kayeff Inc in California. I estimate the wingspan to be about 36 inches. This is a beautiful classic kit with a high degree of prefabrication for it's day. The kit features completely precut ribs, wheel pants, firewall, elevator, rudder and many other balsa parts (thin and very thick), die-cut plywood fuselage bulkheads, formed wire main and nose landing gear, balloon tires, metal push rods (for control line linkage), a metal hardware pack that is still sealed, numerous other wood and metal parts as needed, window material, tissue covering and more. This kit has not been started. The parts are complete, with the factory sealed ones still bag sealed and many parts still wrapped with the factory Kyosho tape. NOTE: I have lost the plans to this kit. You will need to find a set of Kyosho plans to build this model.

Marlin Chemical and Ladder American Firefighters, 1/48, 101 FC

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

$125

Very rare. In 1952 Marlin Toy Company of New York City, New York entered the plastic model business. The Revell 'Highway Pioneers' were making a huge impact on the hobby industry and the timing seemed perfect. Marlin first cut the molds in 1952 and issued the six original American Firefighters -Chemical and Ladder, Steamer, Hook and Ladder, Water Tower, Aerial Ladder and Hose Reel. The boxes were identical as a cost saving measure - similar to the Revell Highway Pioneers. Revell signed a marketing agreement with Marlin in 1953. Five of the kit were released with the Revell name and marketing name 'Collectors Kits, Closter N.J.' Revell added the horse parts as they were not originally part of the Marlin issues. The kits made excellent display pieces, but they never caught the imagination of young men like jet aircraft did. The five molds were shipped to Brazil. After a run for Kikoler (Revell Brazil's Distributor), they were shipped back to the USA but the molds were lost at sea. This is an original Marlin kit and contains the Chemical and Ladder. Molded in dark red and yellow. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

The airplane has never been flown or even displayed; it is mint. it is still held in the original factory cardboard retainers which are in very good condition. Mach Dzik P52 Polish Navy (U-Class) Submarine, 1/400, 02

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed VG

$15

Still factory sealed but the seal has drawn the box top concave. Dzik and here sister Solol and her sister were the first submarines delivered to the Polish Navy once WWII began. By February of 1941 Sokol was patrolling the Bay of Biscay and Dzik followed shortly after delivery on October 11, 1942. Both of these ships achieved significant success in the Mediterranean and Aegean Seas, where they destroyed several enemy ships. Both subs outlasted the war and were returned to England. Dzik was then lent to the Danish Navy in 1946. Her active service ended in 1957 and she was broken up in 1958. Very nicely molded and detailed but certainly not a 'state of the art' Tamiya style kit. Features full hull with propellers and rudder, display stand, color paint guide on the back of the box with rigging diagram and full decals with flags.
