Meikraft Models Lloyd 40.15 Triplane, 1/72

Very rare, limited production kit. Features very good quality limited-run injection molded main airframe parts, injection molded landing gear struts and wheels, cast metal prop, exhaust stacks and machine guns, small fret of PE details and full decals. The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory sealed (all small parts and PE) are still in the sealed bags. The parts that were not factory sealed (large parts) have been inventoried complete including decals and instructions. The Lloyd 40.15 was one of the most obscure triplanes to be produced during WWI. Built by Magyar Lloyd Repulogep es Motogyar, the design first flew around December of 1917. No photos or details of the flight testing appear to have survived the way, but plans and dimensions show a 185 hp Daimler engine, full cantilever center and lower wing, the top wing supported by Vee-struts and an usu8al rotating aileron arrangement installed on the center wing.

Original hardbox issue with a copyright date of 1965. This kit was purchased new on October 28, 1965 at a drug store in Cleveland, Ohio and the original receipt is included. Nice model of the Navy B-24. Has many action features: landing gear retracts and extends, control surfaces move, guns elevate and turrets rotate, wheels and props spin, flaps extend/retract, 4 crew and has optional position side gunner's position (open or closed). The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Includes ScaleDecks 'High Detail' Issue printed and laser cut deck for this model (mint condition, never used with instructions). ScaleDecks uses realistic color, very thin maple wood that is printed with deck detail and then laser kit. The printing provides a much closer to scale plank size than laser cutting without any of the 'laser burn bleed.' The results is a superior deck. The actual kit is the greatly improved model thanks to the Titanic Historical Society. Minicraft and THS used photos of the ship on the seabed to correct items and improve detail significantly. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.

From original Pyro (and later Life-Like) molds. Full hull kit with very good molded detail, pre-molded ratlines, detailed deck, billowing sails and display stand. Measures about 8 inches inches long when assembled. Molded in dark wood and off-white. The box art serves as a rigging diagram. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes instructions. This is one of the 'intermediate' line of Pyro ship kits. Not much is known of Bullmark except it was started by an ex-Marusan employee in the early 1970s and production ended in 1975. Various kits were issued from other company's molds such as Glasslite, Life-Like and others. It is not known if Bullmark did any molding or simply re-packaged kits.

Very rare. Big scale, high quality kit of resin and metal with recessed detail. Measures 22 inches long when assembled and comes with a display stand. Includes decals for Los Angeles, Dallas or Atlanta SSNs along with draft markings, hull numbers and DSRV 'targets.' D&E was known for making the most accurate submarine kits available. The flyer reads "This is THE kit for serious submarine model bulders. If you purchased either the DML or Revell model kits of the Los Angeles class attack submarine and found them to be unacceptable, thn you are the discriminating submarine model kit builder we produced this kit for." Experience with resin and metal kits is necessary. The kit has never been started. All the small parts are still in the sealed bags. The big parts that were not factory sealed have been inventoried complete including decals and extensive instructions.

Very rare. A limited number of these and some 737 kits were marketed by Sealand Imports, Ltd of Burnaby Canada and originally made by Maquettes M&B (Scale Modelers M&B) of Ville de Lorraine, Canada. Inside is a very high quality large 1/100 scale Nitto DC-9 kit with very fine recessed panel lines, full instructions, a very large, colorful and complete Air Canada decals sheet, decal placement sheet, and a very large foldout color poster of the Air Canada DC-9. The kit has never been started. Internal factory sealed bags including decals and instructions.

Features traditional wood/tissue construction, quality print and stripwood, formed wheels, rubber motor, prop and thrust button, hardware and clear canopy material if required, tissue covering and detailed full size plans/building instructions. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.
