NOTE: fully assembled kit. It is assumed to be E&B because it is injection molded and looks like one of their kits; but I am NOT certain. It is mainly injection molded plastic. Quality of assembly is 'very good++' and the car was airbrushed to the same quality. Lettered for Rio Grande Denver & Rio Grand Western, car 034 "Tool & Block." The car has two small steps broken off and one step is present for an easy repair. One coupler is disassembled but all those parts are present also.

Very nicely detailed, large 1/8 scale model features nine cylinders, crankcase, carburetor with sliding valve, accessory drive gears, oil pump, magneto, full wiring and display stand. The kit has never been started. Internal factory sealed bags including instructions. The 80 hp Le Rhone was developed before WWI and was used in many early aircraft. It did see service early in the Great War and it's follow on, the 110 hp Le Rhone was used in larger aircraft. The crankshaft of the Le Rhone mounted directly to the firewall and was part of the air and fuel intake system. The crankcase, propeller shaft and cylinders all revolved at about 1200 rpm. These three assemblies were carefully balanced to reduce vibration.

NOTE: builder kit only, please read carefully. Includes decals for all three versions and is molded in clear so you can build the kit with realistic windows. From ex-Lindberg/Olin molds. Those original issues did not have clear windows as they were molded in one solid plastic color (like silver). This kit has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts and includes 'mint' condition decals and instructions. NOTE: this kit had two pieces assembled once, although nothing is assembled at this time. The fuselage halves were glued once, but so little glue was used that they fell apart. Even the assembly guide pins are intact! There was no other assembly. The following parts are painted black - lower part of the hull and one float (just like the box top) and two wheels. There is no other painting. Paint quality is only 'good.'
