Airfix 1/72 De Havilland Heron - Shell Oil or RAF Queen's Flight - Type Three Issue, 381 plastic model kit

1/72 381 Airfix De Havilland Heron - Shell Oil or RAF Queen's Flight - Type Three Issue

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good+

1960 T3 box with great artwork. This is a very nice and detailed kit for that time which features separately molded control ailerons, rudder and elevators, cockpit detail with figures, optional position cabin door, retractable undercarriage, rotating propellers, boarding stairs, stewardess, family (mother, father and son) and business man and more. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes both sheets of decals and instructions. The Heron was the result of a larger and redesigned Dove and first flew in 1950. It's ability to operate from rough fields and ease of maintenance quickly make it a favorite for feeder and independent airlines in the UK and overseas. Heron IIs were also selected by the RAF for the Queens Flight, which is a statement to it's reliability and safety.
