Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good+

1950s Cellovision issue with Ray Gaedke artwork, trading card and intact clear panel on the reverse side. Lindberg is a company with a fascinating history The original 'Lindberg Line' stretches back to the 1930s when Paul Lindberg drew plans for famous modeling magazines and marketed his balsa wood 'stick and tissue' by urging dealers to carry the '...Complete Lindberg Line'. After the war, Lindberg and Olsen had a strong hand in early United States injection molded kit development. Please see the article located on this website about early USA plastic kit manufacturers.

Cavacraft Fokker D-7 - Factory Built Control Line Flying Model 1/2A Engines - 14 Inch Wingspan - (DVII), G-3

Wood Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

Sold

Very rare. NOTE: build only, please read very carefully for the condition. 1950s wood pre-fab flying model for gas power U-Control. I am almost certain that the box artwork was originally painted by Jim Cox who also did all of the early Aurora box art paintings. Regardless of the manufacture he was working for, Mr. Cox had a strong tendency to show the D-VII and it's pilot in horrible, certain death situations. Here the Camel pilot pours lead directly into the unfortunate Luftstreitkrfte pilot while his stricken engine spews oil and smoke. Cavacraft pulled out all the stops on this model. When you open the lid, the first thing you see are the factory-built wings installed in the fuselage with the tail feathers in place. It is literally ready to assemble. Everything is sheeted but the wings, for which covering material is provided. All of the main balsa parts are pre-carved and finished, while the flat ones are die-cut. includes a die-cut plywood firewall, fully formed wire landing gear, completely finished wheels, hinge material, covering tissue for the wings and some hardware. This kit has not been started. NOTE: missing the plans/instructions and missing the decals, as well as the screws for mounting the engine of your choice (the engine was not included with the kit). I believe that the model is complete other than those things listed; this collector loved to remove the instructions and decals from his kits for 'safe keeping' but that location was never discovered. Please be aware that this is sold AS-IS as I cannot do a complete inventory as there are no instructions. Although I have not seen them, this box and art were clearly used for more than one kit. The only way to identify what is inside is by the ink stamp on the left and right sides of the box. The kit number "G-3" implies there may have been at least three kits, and one of them may have been a Sopwith Camel.

Enterprise Hawker Typhoon - Control Line Combat-Stunt For .09 .05 or .19 Engines - 31.25 Inch Wingspan, C1-295

Wood Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc+

Sold

Very rare, high-end, highly prefabricated model from 1957. This kit is seldom seen due to it's very high selling price of $2.95 and is even rarer in this condition- never started & 100% complete in a superb box. Enterprise pulled out all the stops on this design to make it easy to build and fun to fly. Features completely finished and notched wing leading and trailing edges, die-cut balsa and lite-plywood parts, profile (flat) fuselage from one sheet of factory-cut wood, fully formed gear struts, finished main and tail wheels, a clear bag of hardware and U-Control parts, ribs pre-drilled for U-Control leadout wires, wood stock as required, a very large sheet of full color decals (in amazing 'near mint' condition), covering tissue and superb full-size, illustrated building plans. Never started. The small parts are still in the factory-sealed clear bag; the other parts were never sealed and have been inventoried complete. Includes all paperwork.

Enterprise F4U-5 Corsair - Static Or .039 to .074 Gas Engine Flying Model - 17.5 Inch Wingspan, 147-125

Wood Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

Sold

Rare, highly prefabricated model from 1955 and even rarer in never started & complete condition. Enterprise pulled out all the stops on this design to make it easy to build and to give a realistic appearance - so good that you can make a static model from it to be proud of. However, it is designed for U-Control operation on the engines listed and has a wing area of 50 sq. inches, length of 14.75 inches and a wingspan of 17.5. The kit is almost completely sheeted - there are only two very short section of tissue paper needed. Features die-cut wooden parts, fuselage that is side sheeted and has factory-carved upper and lower front sections, a beautiful factory-carved wing with the correct airfoil and notched at the gull wing lines, die-cut horizontal and vertical stabilizer with elevators, hinge material, plywood landing gear mounts, fully formed wire gear struts, finished main and tail wheels, a bag of metal hardware, plastic cowling and pilot's bust, clear vacuform canopy that is still in mint condition and perfectly clear (not yellowed), covering tissue, a beautiful set of full color decals (still in amazing 'near mint' condition), covering tissue and superbly illustrated assembly instructions in 'excellent++' condition. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes all paperwork. Please NOTE that while there is no assembly, the die-cut balsa parts have been very neatly removed from the sheet by an adult.

Aurora McDonnell F-4H Phantom, 1/48, 394-198

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

Sold

First issue dated 1961 with oval sunburst logo and 'Famous Fighters' in the logo border. Large 1/48 scale early Phantom kit with great Jo Kotula box artwork. Nicely detailed kit for that time with cockpit, full landing gear, four AIM-7 Sparrow missiles, a tiny additional F-4H scale model (measuring only 1.5 inches long) and a large, clear 'Triangle World' display stand. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: the instructions have some bug damage on the surface (not all the way through) of the cover page. The decals have bug damage to the backing paper only; they did not damage the actual transfers. The box may display slightly better than 'good' but is rated as such because of the litho chip at the upper right hand corner as shown and very similar chips on the three lower side corners. There also general additional wear as well.

Aurora Ryan X-13 Vertijet - With Mobile Operational Grailer, 1/48, 376-198

The aircraft features very fine raised surface detail and recessed control surface lines, pilot and 'good' cockpit details, prototype marking and more. It is molded in gloss silver & clear plastic while the trailer/launcher is a bright yellow. The kit has never been started. All parts are still in the factory sealed bags; one for the silver and one for yellow. Includes 'very good+++' condition decals and 'excellent+' instructions.

Aurora British SE-5 Scout - White Rectangle Issue, 1/48, 103-69

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

Sold

Very rare version and the rarest of all Aurora SE-5s Note that the rectangular background for the oval 'Famous Fighters' logo is white and not yellow as with the more common one. They are identical other than the background color for the lower-right rectangle. The hardbox is dated 1956 with the original Jim Cox box art but with the 1957 oval 'Famous Fighters' logo. The original rectangle 'Northern Lights' logo has been neatly blotted out with a white rectangle of the same size. The fact that the price is still 69 cents (as the original issue) means this issue is very late 1956 or very early '57. Molded in gloss olive green and black. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: the box has the large tear as shown just behind the engine exhaust.

Aurora Avro CF-105 Arrow, 1/80, 124-129

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

Sold

Rare 1958 hardbox issue with fantastic Jo Kotula artwork. For the time, this was a very nice kit with good detail featuring recessed and some fine raised surface lines, full & detailed landing gear with all gear doors, clear canopy, decals for 201. Molded in white and clear with the Aurora 'Triangle World' base. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The box is in rare 'excellent' condition as the brown litho slick was very easily scuffed and damaged. The flaws are light edge wear, corner wear (as shown at the lower right) and very light shelf wear.

Aurora Messerschmitt Me-109 - Brooklyn Issue Bf-109 - Famous Fighters of All Nations, 1/48, 55-59

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

Sold

Very rare first issue. Of Aurora's 'Original Brooklyn 8,' this is usually considered the hardest one to find. Inside, the kit is 100% correct with no rivet detail, no bombs and no landing gear. The color is the unique first run non-metallic medium red with clear canopy and stand. The stand is the correct square one marked 'Brooklyn.' The instructions are correct Brooklyn also, and the decals are the proper early 'Tatem Company' issue with the swastika. The box has very good color and gloss, no fading, no tears, no price tags or tag damage, no tape (except for the factory sealing tape, of course) and is 100% intact with no split corners or repairs but only grades 'good' due to the scuffing on the left top side as shown, the litho chips (to the left of 'scale', below 'model' and on the far right lower corner as shown) and some small similar chips on the sides. This kit has never been started. It has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts in perfect condition, amazing 'near mint' decals (best I have ever seen on a Brooklyn issue and 'very good++' instructions with yellowing as the main flaw. This kit must be shipped double boxed and insured.
