Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good+

$295

Rare first issue hardbox dated 1964 is 100% correct and complete. Not a modern reissue. This famous Aurora Monster kit shows Dr. Jekyll trying to reverse the overwhelming effect of Mr. Hyde. Features large-scale figure with lab coat and flask, laboratory base, lab table and stool, test tubes and base, beaker with spilled liquid, chemical decanter, flask with tube and stand, bunson burner, spider web, rat and name plate. Molded in the correct ivory plastic. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions in 'excellent' condition. The box has excellent color and gloss, four solid corners, no repairs, no fading stains or price tags, no tape or tape marks and no tears or missing litho but is only graded 'good+' because the long sides are bowed out as shown, there is a crease at the lower right and there is light general wear. Please note that this kit must be shipped insured.

Aurora DeHavilland DH-4 - (DH4), 1/48, 112-98

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG++

$54

First issue dated 1957 with classic Jo Kotula artwork and the sunburst oval logo with 'Famous Fighters' in the border. The kit has never been started. Inventoried with all parts parts, decals and instructions present. Besides it's distinguished career in WWI, the DH-4 saw extensive post war service in numerable ways. One of the most interesting was as a United States Post Office air mail service aircraft. The aircraft's likeness even graced an airmail stamp of the time. In about 1925, the Post Office decided to upgrade. The prototype was the Douglas M-1 and an improved version, the M-2, became the next mail carrier. The M-2 is also an Aurora kit in the same scale.

Aurora Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress, 1/156, 491-49

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

$139

Rare issue with 'Famous Fighters' in the oval sunburst logo; this release only lasted only one year and is the true 1961 issue. (in 1962 the 'Famous Fighters' was dropped from the logo). The kit is molded in the correct gloss olive drab and clear plastic and contains the correct clear Aurora 'world' triangle stand. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Aurora German Gotha G-V Bomber - Abare Box / 1970s Kit With 1958 Ground And Mechanics Included, 1/48, 126-198

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc+++

$69

Ideal 'Classic Builder.' NOTE: this is a 1970s revised molds Aurora Gotha with 1958 ground base and ground crew in a Ross Abare 1970s issue box. The kit is the improved version which is a superior kit to the original release. So you can built it like the original issue, I have included an original ground base and ground crew (because the 1970s issue did not contain those). Never started and inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Aurora Convair F-102 Dart - (YF-102 Delta Dagger), 1/121, 290-39

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

$52

Hardbox issue dated 1957, but from the mid 1960s due to the oval logo with the blue outline. Small scale kit with dramatic Jo Kotula box artwork is nicely molded with clear canopy, full landing gear and display stand. This is a model of the very early YF-102 prototype with the straight (non-area rule) fuselage. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. Around this time, Aurora issued a series of inexpensive (usually 29 cent) small scale kits that were designed to sell at almost any type of retail location. The line was successful and further expanded - when Aurora purchased the Comet molds, they fit in nicely with this established line.

Aurora 1931 Miller Special 1931 Indianapolis 500 Winner - (ex Best), 1/30, 523-79

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good-

$159

Very rare and from 1958. Best originally created the line of Indianapolis 500 Winner kits; Aurora purchased them shortly after their introduction and reissued them for a short time. The model features driver and mechanic figures, some interior detail, spoke wheels and very nice decals. Molded in white plastic with real rubber tires It has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Please note that the box is 100% intact with no repairs, no split corners, tears or missing litho but is graded 'good-' because of the age foxing (brown tint) and general but very even wear as shown. Louis Schneider and 'Jigger Johnson' (driver and mechanic) drove the Bowes Seal Special to victory in 1931. The Miller Special had rear wheel drive, and eight cylinder 151.7 CID Miller engine and won the day averages 96.629 miles per hour. The track was dangerously unsafe that year due to a heavy drizzle that made driving over 80 mph dangerous - at one point, drivers were required to slow down to 80 mph and passing was not allowed other than the pit area. There were many spectacular accidents but the rain did relent and there were many speeds over 100 mph in the later part.

Aurora Lockheed F-104 Starfighter - (ex Comet), 1/110, 291-60

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good+

$79

Very rare 1964 Aurora of Canada hardbox issue of the ex-Comet kit. Several small-scale Comet molds (including the F-104, B-47 and B-52) were never reissued for the USA market and for decades I have wondered what happened to them. Aurora had no need for them, as they had already cut their own (superior) small-scale molds for those subjects. Well, the ex-Comet molds went to Aurora of Canada! The slightly less detailed Comet kits were issued there using the same box art as their slightly more detailed Aurora USA counterparts. Simply looking at the box top, you could not tell the difference. However, the contents and instructions gives the secret away. Molded in silver and clear and still retains the original Comet 'teardrop' shaped two-piece stand. Naturally the instructions are completely unique since this is a completely different kit from the Aurora USA Starfighter. This model is 100% correct and has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Aurora Sopwith Camel, 1/48, 102-79

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good++

Third issue of Aurora's Camel. It retains the original 1956 box art, but the square Aurora 'Northern Lights' logo is gone, blotted out with a yellow rectangle and the the soon-to-be classic sunburst 'Famous Fighters' oval. There is no Parents' Magazine Seal and no '69' price circle on this issue. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Aurora Convair B-36 Giant Bomber - Peacemaker, 1/333, 492-49

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

$115

The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions, both in 'excellent' condition.

Aurora Piasecki H-25A Army Mule - US Air Force / Army / Navy / Marines, 1/48, 502-69

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: NM+

$225

Very rare "Northern Lights' logo first issue from 1956. Even rarer in amazing, investment-grade 'Near Mint+' condition. The box has factory-new gloss and color, four solid corners, no stains, creases, tears or fading. It has no price tags (or marks from any) and incredibly it even missed the factory tape machine - there is no tape and no marks or stains from tape. Very, very light wear is the only flaw. Earlier in the 1950s a company called 'Helicopters for Industry' created a line of large early kits. In 1956 Aurora bought the molds and quickly reissued these models with new box artwork. Features cockpit seats, control sticks and instrument panel, full landing gear and decals for all four versions listed. Molded in the correct high-gloss olive drab and clear plastic. Never started. They sold so well that they introduced new kits almost annually well into the 1960s. Some sold well right up until the end of Aurora in the mid 1970s.

Aurora F8U-1 Crusader - (f-8 / F8U1), 1/48, 119-98

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

Inventoried 100% complete with all parts in the correct high-gloss early issue light grey. Features the correct 1st issue instructions showing the early stand, large rectangular-based stand and decal sheet correctly lacking the stand decal.

Aurora Nieuport 28, 1/48, 108-69

The decals are in amazing 'near mint' condition with the only flaw being very slight yellowing. The instructions are in 'excellent' condition with typical yellowing and very slight edge wear.
