The Short 184 has the distinction of being the very first aircraft to sink a ship by torpedo. Over 650 were built by Short, Mann Egerton & Co, Saunders, Supermarine, Wesland and Robey & Co. 184s served in the Mediterranean, Red Sea, Dardanelles, Mesopotamia and the European Theater. This is a finely molded and detailed ex-Lincoln model which is still the only 1/144 injection-molded Rotodyne kit ever made. It features very fine raised panel line detail, separately molded rudder, elevators and ailerons, clear side and cockpit windows, cockpit with seats, crew, control columns, instrument console and bulkhead, optional position passenger doors, ground-based passenger boarding stairs and hostess, rotating propellers, full landing gear and gear door detail and extensive colorful dark blue Fairey Demonstrator decals. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. "IM" stood for International Modeling Company and the business address was in East Los Vegas, Nevada. Apparently IM did not cut any of their own molds but picked out quality overseas molds which filled major gaps among the USA kit manufacturers. There were three series with Series A being four 1/50 scale kits (Starfire, Gnat, Autocar and Venom), Series B was 1/72 (Sycamore and Gannet), Series C was 1/100 scale (Viscount, Canberra and DC-3) while Series D was 1/144 and included the Constellation, DC-7C, Britannia, Victor, Valiant, Lancaster, Rotodyne, Sunderland and F-27.

Hard to find hardbox issue from 1963. This kit is the same scale as the other Aurora Knight kits and is molded in a beautiful deep burgundy. The kit has never been started. 1960s Aurora of Great Britain issue with great box art. This model contains a large 1/8 scale knight, base, both red and white plumes (like the box art) and instructions. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. Please NOTE that the box had a closed tear across the bottom, about 1" up from the lowest point. 1968 issue of the famous tandem light aircraft that saw civil and military service. After Aurora purchased the Comet molds, they reissued the Comet civil light aircraft line. It appears that Aurora may have been inspired by the Comet kits or sales of the reissues, and they produced several more new molds to add to the line. This Skymaster is one of those kits. Since the model was designed new, it has significantly more detail than the older Comet kits. Features all recessed panel lines, full interior with front and back bulkheads, four bucket seats and instrument panel, clear windows and rotating propellers. The kit has never been started. Inventoried and NOTE: missing one minor part, the rectangular nose gear door. Easily made from stock plastic. Otherwise inventoried complete including all other parts, decals and instructions.
