Comet Heinkel He-111German Bomber Official Identification Kit - 'Build For Victory', 1/72, IA-15

Wood Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good+

Sold

A very rare kit and even more so in this condition. From about 1941/42. This model is 'Identical to the one used in the Model Building Program of the US Office of Education sponsored by the US Navy, Bureau of Aeronautics' which was a program launched in 1941. During WWII the higher speed of aircraft made the traditional WW1 'recognition cards' nearly useless and 3D models were needed. The US Armed Forces looked to the general population to produce recognition models. While not fully successful due to irregular quality and supply, it quickly paved the way for superior injection molded recognition models. This kit features wood blocks, sheets and stock, glue, sandpaper, an excellent, very thick paper template, outline and gauge sheet as well as fold-out full size plans with aircraft history and detailed carving and building instructions. Never started and complete.

Heller Arado Ar-96 / Heller LEO 45 Bagged / Pioneer 2 Spitfire VC Tropical / TWO Supermodel Macchi C-205 Veltro, 1/72, 239

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Bagged to Exc

Sold

SALE!! Includes 5 kits in three boxes and one bag. Please read carefully for condition. The Ar-96 has not been started and has been inventoried. NOTE: it is missing one part, the prop. Otherwise complete. The Spitfire is still in the factory sealed bag. The Heller Leo 45 is 100% complete but NOTE: this kit has minor, 'professional' quality subassembly as follows: wing and horizontal stabilizer halves assembled; seats and bulkheads to floors; one spinner to one prop. There is no other assembly. Inventoried with all parts present and includes decals and instructions. The two Supermodel Macchi C205s are NOTE: Sold AS-IS and not inventoried. This collector was very meticulous and of his kits that I did inventory, 95% are complete. But on these kits he cut the sprue (trees) with the part numbers still attached to each number, so the parts are loose. Because of that, I have not inventoried these kits. NOTE: he built minor sub assemblies (cockpit tubs, wing halves, etc) to 'professional' quality. He also almost always removed the displays stands (if provided). Again, these kits are sold not inventoried and AS IS hence the very low price.
