Monogram Baja Bandito - Custom Volkswagen Van Tom Daniels Design, 1/24, 6759

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

Sold

Very rare one and only issue from 1970 that includes two trading cards; one for the Red Baron Kustom Kar and the other for Rommel's Rod. The actual kit is well detailed featuring a mid-mounted Chevy 327 V-8 fuel-inject engine with velocity stacks, chopped top, restyled front end, custom window openings and side door, nerf bars, built-in flared fenders, opening side door with drive-on ramp for the included Honda mini-bike model, custom front seat, steering wheels and Hurst shifter, chrome surfboard racks, surfboard and more. Molded in bright orange, clear, chrome plate and with rubber tires. NOTE: this kit has minor sub-assembly to the engine as follows: the block halves, rear cover and heads are assembled. The velocity stacks and coil are glued to the intake manifold (but not to the block or heads). There is no other assembly. Quality of the build is 'excellent+' but NOTE: a tube of glue leaked on the assembled heads and top of the engine block. Fixing this will require some delicate work to remove the glue and some filling on the heads to smooth out the side that shows. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present.

Aurora The Man From UNCLE Napoleon Solo, 1/8, 411-98

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed Exc

Sold

Still factory sealed and very rare in this condition. 1966 hardbox issue from the famous TV show. When built, this model can be a single display or it is designed to interlock with the Illya Kuryakin model to form a larger action scene. The box appears slightly better than the listed but is only given the 'sealed excellent' grade because there is light wear, two very short (1/4") creases on the lower front and the lower box (tray) is very slightly drawn concave on the bottom. Please note this kit must be shipped insured.

Aurora Land Of The Giants - Snake - Original Issue, 1/48, 816-150

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good-

This large and famous model features a giant and well detailed snake being fought off by two men with a huge safety pin while the woman looks on in horror. Includes a large display stand and name plate. Molded in the correct (and beautiful) bright green plastic. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions in 'excellent++' condition. The box has great color and gloss, four solid corners, no fading, price tags, tape or tears but is is only graded 'good-' because of the heavy creasing at the top as shown, concave box top and bowed out long sides as shown. While the contents of the kit are 'excellent' the box is not collectible.

Revell A3J Vigilante - 'S' Issue - A-5A Nuclear Bomber, 1/83, H196-98

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: NM

Sold

Rare model from 1959 and the last "S" kit issued by Revell. The box top is in investment-grade 'near mint' condition. It has fantastic color and gloss, four solid corners, no fading or stains and no price tags or tag marks. Flaws include isolated very light wear and on the lower long side panel there is a small (1/2 x 1.4 inch) litho tear from the original factory sealing tape. This model features opening tandem canopies, moving control surfaces, detailed, removable jet engines and two pilots. As the last "S" kit, this kit also incorporated a critical improvement for the time that would become standard only recently: all recessed detail. Molded in the correct gloss light gray and clear with the "Globe" clear stand. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Revell F-94C Starfire Intereceptor - Pre S Issue, 1/56, H210-79

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

Sold

1954 Pre-S release and the third issue of this historical model. Features the amazing, classic 1950s box art that has made the Pre S and S kits so valuable and collectible today. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The first issue was in the simple one-piece box and Revell quickly converted to this two-piece box as it was much more durable and a full-color lithographed 'slick' could be used. For the second issue, Revell added rivet and raised panel line detail as well as landing gear, and went to this box and H210-79 kit number. The famous 'Globe' clear stand was added, but the 2nd issue has the rare one piece stand arm and the instructions reflecting that. The 3rd issue (this kit) is identical to the 2nd issue except that the 'Globe' stand was changed to the sturdy 3 piece arm version.
