This large-scale, full hull model has very good detail for that time and features separately molded deck fittings, deadeyes & pulley blocks, metal anchor chain, two dories with seats and oars, display stand, a comlete set of billowing vacuform sails and more. Includes very good rigging instructions. Molded in wood tan, dark green plastic and off-white sails. The sails are in remarkable 'near mint' condition. Never started. Inside, the kit is as it left the factory. The tan parts are still factory sealed; the green parts were never sealed and have been inventoried complete. Very rare. This is the first and only issue from late 1965/66. This Skylark Gran Sport features the famous 'Nailhead' V-8 engine, optional stock exhaust manifolds for 2 tube headers, stock or rear super-wide slick tires, factory hubcaps or custom/race wheels, complete interior, drag racing velocity stacks, front and rear custom treatments and more. Molded in white, clear, red-tinted clear, chrome and with rubber tires and metal axles & body screws. NOTE this kit has very minor 'professional' quality subassembly as noted: block halves, oil pan and heads; front cross member to chassis; back to (2) rear slicks. There is no other assembly. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. NOTE: decals are flat and complete but many transfers are lifting. There are tire burns on the back of the slicks tires; cannot be seen once they are put on the car.

Second issue hardbox from about 1960. This issue used the same dramatic box artwork as the original issue 'S' kit and is molded in the same colors - white, light wood tan and dark wood brown. like most early Revell sailing ships, it is very well detailed and molded. Features full hull with display stand, detailed deck fittings and houses, separately masts and yards arms, separately molded belaying pins, realistic deadeye assemblies, lifeboats, Revell's superb preformed rat lines, rigging instructions, rigging material and vacuform billowing sails. The sails are in 'near mint' condition. Never started. Inventoried complete with all parts, decals, color flag sheet and instructions present. While all parts are present, please NOTE that the display stand is broken; the broke part is present and fits back perfectly with no gap. The propeller is missing one blade; that blade is not present. One of part number tags would made the basis of an ideal replacement as is the right color, thickness and even has the right camber. The 295' bark rigged sailing ship was built in 1936 in Bremerhaven, Germany, for the German Navy. It was originally named Horst Vessel. The vessel was acquired in 1946 as a World War II war reparation. The ship was named the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Eagle, and has been used ever since as a training ship for future U.S. Coast Guard Officers. Eagle is based in New London, Connecticut.

Rare 1954 issue that is very well detailed and molded in the correct red (wagon) and white (horses and figures) plastic. NOTE: this kit has very minor assembly to two parts - the center roof ornament is glued to the roof to 'professional' quality. There is no other assembly. Inventoried 100% complete. The instructions are in 'near mint' condition. 'Miniature Masterpieces' was formed through an alliance of Lew Glaser (Revell) and Steve Adams (Adams Action Models) in 1953. Although the molds were made at Adams and it had the appearance of an independent company, the firm was run by Revell down to the prototypes being made at the Revell plant. Originally there was no evidence of the parent company on the surface. The State Coach of England was the first kit - without figures and horses, issued in 1953. More kits of excellent quality followed. Revell completely took over the line in 1954 and in that year and the next, kits were labeled 'Revell' with a 'Miniature Masterpiece' label on the box top also. At the time of the 'takeover', Revell cut the horses and figures for this kit and it was the first 'Revell' release. 1954 advertisements from Revell list the complete line as the H506 State Coach of England, H510 Ranch Wagon, H503 Covered Wagon, H502 Marquis de Lafayette Carriage, H504 Roman Racing Chariot, H501 Wells Fargo Stage Coach, H509 Western Figures and H507 Chuck Wagon.
