Aurora M109 Howitzer Tank - (US Army Self Propelled Gun), 1/48, 326-150

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

Sold

1969 Big A hardbox issue. Hard to find 1/48 armor kit that has very good detail for that time. Features over 100 pieces, working bogies and tracks, rotating turret, elevating gun, driver, commander & soldier figures and more. Includes decals for US Army and West German Army. Never started. The actual tank has been inventoried with all parts present and includes decals and instructions but NOTE: missing display base. Also, the box displays slighter better than the 'good' ranking; it is graded as such because there is clear tape on two box sides and one paint run.

Air Lines Hawker Sea Fury - (ex-Frog), 1/72, 4903

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

Sold

Very finely molded in silver. Features separately molded ailerons, elevators and rudder. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Air Lines kits are all Frog molds that the Lines Brothers imported to the USA between 1964-1966. The kits, decals and instructions were made in England, then imported to the USA where Testors created the boxes with the colorful trading cards on the back. There are one or two trading cards on each box which show the boxart but not the advertising/logo. Some kits contain a Testors color painting guide also, but it is not specific to any model.

Frog HS Buccaneer S.Mk 2A / S.Mk 50 - RAF or South African Airforce, 1/72, F238

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed Exc+

Sold

Still factory sealed. Has decals for both Air Forces, No.12 Sq RAF Honington, 1970 and No. 24 Sq SAAF Waterkfloof, 1970. Typical high quality Frog kit with no rivets and fine panel lines for a realistic model. Features steering nose strut, four anti-ship missiles on wing pylons and optional position landing gear. The Buccaneer was the world's first purpose designed low level 'below the radar' bomber. Low level strike aircraft have a shorter airframe life limit due to the stresses of low level flying, so the Buccaneer was designed to be very strong and even had many sub-assemblies milled from solid metal. Kit features opening unique rotating bomb bay, folding wings and working arresting hook.

Aurora Regulus II Guided Missile - With Mobile Launching Platform, 1/48, 378-249

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

Sold

Rare and even rarer in this condition. This kit was factory sealed but the seal recently split across the back - so I opened it up to do a 100% inventory and slid the seal back on. Inside, the kit is exactly as it left the factory - never started, with the red parts still in a factory sealed clear bag and with all other parts inventoried 100% complete, including 'excellent+++' decals and instructions. 1958 release of this famous kit featuring classic Jo Kotula boxart. The large 1/48 scale missile comes with a fully operational scale launcher. Please note this is a true first issue because there is no Parents' Magazine' printed logo or the golden sticker. The model features a well detailed missile with lower booster and the mobile launcher with good suspension detail, valves boxes and covers, tow bar, servicing and access platforms with railings, elevating main pad and three figures. Molded in the correct deep gloss red, silver and dark blue plastic. Please note that this kit displays better than the 'excellent' box grade but is rated as such because long crease on part of the lower long box side. This kit must be shipped insured. The Aurora "Missile Line" is legendary. In the late 1950s, the first missile model kits sold briskly, so Aurora and Revell both planned extensive lines. However, the missile modeling craze disappeared as quickly as it started. Models that were in the works were canceled or completed if they were far enough along. Those that were completed were fine efforts but sold poorly and had very short lives, making them rare collector items today.

The Aurora "Missile Line" is legendary. In the late 1950s, the first missile model kits sold briskly, so Aurora and Revell both planned extensive lines. Aurora German Panther Tank, 1/48, 302-98

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Fair+

1963 issue with John Steel artwork. Hard-to-find 1/48 scale kit that features working bogies, flexible treads, elevating gun, rotating turret, optional position hatches and two crew members. Aurora General Patton Tank - (M46), 1/48, 301-98

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good+

Sold

Hard-to-find armor kit with John Steel hardbox artwork dated 1963. Aurora made excellent tank kits for that time and this is no exception. In the early 1960s modeling reviewers declared them as the finest armor kits in any scale. Please note that the box displays slightly better than the 'good+' grade but it is rated as such because there is heavy corner and edge wear on the left short side and two small tape pulls, one on each long side.

Aurora US Army 8 Inch Howitzer Gun, 1/48, 307-98

Well detailed model for that time with 96 parts featuring moving wheels, breech, recoil mechanism, limber and gun trails.

Sold

2nd issue of this kit dated 1967. Highly detailed for that time and from the same molds as the 1961 'Four Star' issue. Push the prop in, and it freewheels as normal. Kit features a movable control surfaces, highly detailed cockpit, full decals, sliding canopy and instructions for rigging. This is issue is unusual since it was molded in three colors; later issues were not. It has yellow, red and silver (and clear) plastic and includes the rigging cord. Never started. It has been inventoried and includes all plastic parts and instructions. NOTE: missing decals
