Heller Char Somua S 35 Tank, 1/35, 793

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good+

Sold

It is a little known fact that French Tanks defeated German Panzers in the first tank-to-tank battles ever fought (WWI tanks never met in head-to-head combat). French Armor and Troops held the Germans in Belgium; unfortunately the main thrust was south, which was defended by the weakest troops and was undetected until it was too late. This is one of those tanks, the excellent French WWII Somua S35. Highly detailed with 160 parts. Never started. Factory bag sealed bags and complete with decals and instructions.

Aurora The Silver Knight of Augsberg, 1/8, 471-129

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc+

Sold

Classic and very popular Aurora knight from the original molds. This example is from the 1964 Canadian release, although there is a small sticker on one side that says 'Made in Great Britain.' Large 1/8 scale kit is molded gloss silver and has the original dark blue plume (an odd color). The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts, plume and excellent instructions. In the mid 1950s, Aurora bought three 'Knight' molds from Crown Plastics and issued them as K1, K2 and K3. These were the very first Aurora figure kits and they sported the 1956-only rectangular 'Northern Lights' logo with the correct 'Crown Line' logo inside it. The sales success of the Knights prompted Aurora to launch an entire line of figure kits. The knights themselves stayed in production long after many other figures were discontinued.

Aurora 'Corsair' American Privateer, 1/128, 433-198

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

Sold

Second issue with oval logo dated 1963. Privateers were actually civilian ships manned by private citizens. The early US Government gave the ships "letters of marque" and they were free to raid English shipping interests with the blessing of the US Government. Approximately 500 were in service until the practice was abolished. Although they were technically successful in raiding British shipping, the British soon blockaded the US ports and almost shut down the import/export trade. Well detailed kit for that time. Features full hull, display stand with name plate, detailed deck fittings, separately molded masts, yardarms and cross trees, very nicely molded rat lines, excellent vacuform sails and an excellent rigging diagram and photo. The kit has never been started. NOTE: missing one cannon. Inventoried with all other parts and includes early US flag sheet and instructions.
