NOTE: kit has minor assembly. Hull halves have been assembled; quality is professional; no gaps and no visible glue. There is no other assembly. 5mm of the port half of the figurehead is broke off the hull and missing; the starboard side is intact, so it is difficult to see this defect. The deck and sails have been neatly painted. You can use them as-is or paint directly over them. The kit has never been started. Aurora Boeing B-29 Superfortress, 1/76, 372-350

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed Exc++

$165

Still factory sealed. Rare and even rarer in this condition. Aurora of Canada issue is dated 1964 and this issue retaining the same artwork as the 1956 issue. This kit has arguably the most dramatic and fanciful B-29 composition from the 'Golden Era' of modeling. Note the square 'Northern Lights' logo has been replaced with the Aurora sunburst oval logo. There is no fading or stains, tape or price tags, but there is light crease along the upper left side. Responding to market information that boys wanted larger kits, Aurora introduced the B-26 followed by the B-29 and B-25, all of which sold well for many years- almost right up until the end.

Aurora Grumman F9F Panther Jet, 1/49, 22-79

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed NM+

$79

Still factory sealed and in investment-grade 'near mint+' condition. Dated 1960, but from about 1964 due to the logo variation. These molds are from one of Aurora's first two kits - the F9F and F-90. Aurora simply went out and purchased the early Hawk F9F and F-90 kits and copied them almost exactly. Reportedly more than a few tense words were exchanged between Aurora and the Mate's brothers at the Chicago Toy Fair when the kits were unveiled. Hawk became suspicious from that point on and on some kits they reportedly used rivets to spell "HAWK" in morse code.
