IMEX M.S. Nedlloyd Bahrain Cargoliner - Nedlloyd Baltimore / Bankok / Barcelona - (ex Nitto), 1/400, 881

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

Sold

Still factory sealed. One of the few detailed kits of modern cargo ships. From good quality ex-Nitto molds. Model features full, single-piece hull with prop and rudder and very good deck detail with full fittings, booms, life boats, detailed superstructure and more. Includes decals for any of the ship listed in the title. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: instructions are photocopies of the original Nitto issue (which is motorized, but this IMEX issue is not). There is a perfect 3/16 inch diameter hole on the lower hull on the centerline. It looks like it was made for a mounting pedestal for a stand.

Monogram Grumman Hu-16B Albatross (SA-16B) - Blue Box Issue, 1/72, PA160-150

The 3rd issue from the superb 'Four Star' molds. This has long been one of my favorite Monogram models to build because of the incredible fit and finish, very good detail and scale appearance. Features retracting landing gear, rotating wheels and props, three man crew, optional position door and survivor in a life raft. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The Albatross was the primary sea rescue aircraft of the Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Service, a branch of MAC - Military Airlift Command. Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

Sold

Very large 1/350 scale kit that is intended to be motorized with optional parts (not included). Ideal for R/C conversion. Features large one-piece hull, interior spaces for batteries, motor, gear box for drive on all four shafts, shaft stuffing boxes, etc. Well detailed for an older kit with separately molded guns down to 20mm singles, directors for each gun set, catapults with two aircraft and much more. Also includes decals for the ship and aircraft, brass plated props, very nice brass-plated name plate, display stand, scale flag sheet and waterline marking tape that is factory sealed in a marked envelope. A very nice kit of the Missouri in WWII configuration but certainly not the quality of the new Tamiya kit in the same scale. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried and NOTE: missing one part, a gun director. The others are present, so you can cast a replacement. Otherwise includes all other parts, decals and instructions.

Inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. NOTE: the decals are in 'near mint' condition but they have been adult-cut so he could store them in a zip lock for protection. Monogram Curtiss P-40 Warhawk Superkit, 1/54, T6

Wood Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

Sold

Very rare multi-media 'plastic and pre-carved wood' kit. Before there were injection molded plastic kits, model builders worked in wood or metal. Advanced companies, like Monogram, saw the advantage of plastic and began marketing kits with plastic details and fully-carved fuselage, wings, etc. This beautiful kit is one the highest quality composite static kits from the early to mid 1950s. Includes finished wings with airfoil, completely carved fuselage, colored die-cut wooden parts, plastic canopy, pilot, headrest, tail wheel, prop, cowling and more. The model has not been started. Inventoried and NOTE: missing one part, the pitot tube. Otherwise includes all other parts, decals and instructions. Please NOTE that the box looks much better than 'very good+' but is graded as such because the original hobby shop stamped their name on the box. Look just below the P-40 exhaust stacks and you will see "Handicraft Supplies" in a faint rubber stamp.

Revell Navy Grumman F3F-3 - (F3F3), 1/32, 4787

Push the prop in, and it freewheels as normal. Also features movable control surfaces, well detailed cockpit, full decals, sliding canopy and instructions for rigging and more. Never started. The small parts are still in the factory sealed bag; the larger trees are not sealed and have been inventoried with all parts present. With instructions. NOTE: missing decals.

Monogram Me-109 Messerschmitt (Bf-109) - Blue Box Issue, 1/48, PA74-6800

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

Sold

Dated 1967. This is the rarest of the three Blue Box issues as 1967 was when Monogram was transitioning part numbers and for a short time (about one year), they listed both part number. For example, this kit has the old 'PA74' and the future '6800' part numbers on both short side panels. This kit is part of a very famous World War II action kit line that Monogram issued in 1/48 scale. Very nicely molded kit. Features retractable landing gear, pilot and rotating props and wheels. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. NOTE: the decals are intact and flat but have visible age micro-cracking.

Monogram Curtiss P-36A Hawk (Model 75) - White Box Issue, 1/72, 6790

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

Sold

1979 issue and a very finely molded and detailed kit in the traditional Monogram style. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. The Hawk P-36A has the dubious distinction of fighting on both sides and for more countries than any other plane in history during the opening years of WWII. This Hawk, one in a long progression of famous fighter aircraft, was the winner of a 1935 competition. The USAA Corps received the first aircraft in April of 1938 and the French ordered 100 aircraft in May of the same year. French Hawks shot down just over 30 German planes during the battle for France. The Germans captured the aircraft and sold them to Finland. Others were captured when the Germans overran Norway. In all over 800 Hawks were produced and served in China, Netherlands East Indies, Portugal, Great Britain, Thailand, Argentina and Peru. Although an excellent fighter in 1935, the Hawk was outclassed by the time the war started but when flown properly still gave a good account of itself.
