From the late 1960s or early 1970s. This is an early Fujimi Mokei issue with a greatly expanded decal sheet and full color painting guide. ScaleCraft of California imported this model for sale in the USA. Features very fine raised panel detail, AIM-9 Sidewinders, Bullpups, wing tip tanks, 1000lb and 750lbs bomb load-out and more. Molded in silver and clear with decals for all four aircraft listed. Never started. Inside the kit is factory-new with all parts still sealed in the factory clear bags. With decals and instructions.

Large-scale, early A-6 Intruder. Has a color painting guide (on the box bottom) and markings for all three high-vis squadrons. Although older, this is a fine quality kit from when Fujimi made the finest models in the world. Features intricate raised and recessed panel lines, super-fine raised rivet detail, full cockpit and many options of full underwing stores consisting of 2000 lb bombs, 500 lb bombs, Bullpup Missiles, 250 lb bombs and drop tanks. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.

Never used and in mint condition. Also includes Montex Mini Mask Set designed for this kit. Includes inside and outside canopy mask frames. Still factory sealed. The actual kit is a big 1/32 scale kit dated 1977 and nicely molded and detailed for that time. Features complete cockpit, detailed Wright Cyclone engine, perforated dive flaps, bomb load and more. Never started. Inventoried with all parts, and instructions present. NOTE: missing Matchbox decals. Includes Berna decals only.

NOTE: this kit has very minor, 'professional' quality subassembly as follows: control stick, panel and bulkheads to floor; flat intake 'fences' to fuselage halves. There is no other assembly. There is minor interior-only painting. Inventoried with all parts present and includes decals and instructions.

NOTE: bagged kit, there is no box. The box is shown for reference only. Very rare 1950s kit. Strombecker issued a series of exotic space craft from Convair designer Krafft Ehricke and the Disney 'Man in Space' series between 1954 and 1956. This is the one that has not been reissued, making it hard to find. Large and interesting model. Never started. The kit has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Decals and instructions are in 'very good+' condition.

Very nicely molded kit with no rivets - just fine panel lines. Has markings for both aircraft and a color painting guide on the back of the box. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. Frog is considered the father of injection molded model kits. The Lines Brothers opened Frog in 1932, capitalizing on the fever caused by Lindberg's solo transatlantic flight. Almost overnight the western populations became 'Air-Minded', and anything aviation was in high demand. Frog created a quality line of stick and tissue rubber powered aircraft and gliders as well as innovative ready-to-fly rubber powered aircraft that required no assembly. The box even contained a built-in rubber motor winder and fuselage holder. Model airplane flight competitions were popular in Great Britain, and one category was 'Rise Off the Ground', or ROG. By changing this to 'Flies Right Off the Ground', the FROG name was born. In 1936 Frog created a line of injection molded plastic models, the first such kit line in the world (Hawk sold a line of injection molded aircraft models in 1934 but they were factory assembled and painted). Named 'Penguin' after the bird that does not fly, the kits were innovative beyond the means of production. At a time when models were simply built by wingspan, the Penguin line was a constant 1/72 scale. Furthermore, a large 1/72 Short S.30 Empire class flying boat contained a full interior and lights! A line of accessories such as AA guns, tractors, hanger, ambulance, sound locator, searchlights and lighting kits were quickly added to the line. WWII caused a pause in production. After the war the box color changed from silver to green, and Penguin kits were also marketed in the USA. Production ended in 1950. Frog quickly expanded and released the Red, Orange, Black, Green, Gold Token, Spin and Comet series as well as Trail Blazers and several others. It is noteworthy that while most manufacturers in the 1940s/50 were making toy-like models, Frog attempted to make very realistic models. For example, 'detailing' kits with excessively large rivets was once very popular. Frog ignored this trend and continued to mold aircraft with fine panel lines and no rivets. As a result, Frog kits can be built into very realistic replicas. Production ended in the late 1970s, but Frog molds are still in use around the world.

Two Squadrons flew the single seat fighter bomber on anti-shipping strikes and long range escort duties.

Aurora The Wanderer Whaler - (HO Scale), 1/87, 440-595

Rare 1966 hardbox issue of this very large, two feet long (1/87 scale) classic commercial whaler. Well detailed for that time. This was one of a series of large-scale sailing ships made by Aurora to appeal to the serious ship modeler. Molded in correct dark wood, black, tan, ivory and white. Features billowing sails, metal anchor chains, running and standing rigging, molded ratlines and display stand. It has not been started. The parts that were factory sealed are all still factory sealed. Only the white sail parts were never factory sealed, and they have been inventoried complete. Includes all other parts, decals, flag sheet, metal chain, rigging thread and instructions. The Wanderer was built in Mattapoiset, MA in 1878 and was the last sailing whaleship to depart the US on a whaling voyage. She sailed from New Bedford on 24 August 1924 and was driven ashore on Cuttyhunk Island by a gale the next day and became a total loss. (from Joe Greenley)
