1963 hardbox issue. This model features specially modified Lancaster fuselage with Dam Buster bomb and release mechanism, retractable anding gear, rotating propellers and wheels, working control surfaces and more. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The Dam Busters squadron was famous for their daring raids on three German dams on May 16, 1943. Carrying the special Barnes Wallis-designed bombs, the Lancasters flew very low over the water in the face of heavy flak to drop the rotating bombs perfectly. Many did not return. The bombs did perform as promised, first skipping over the water, hitting the dam, then rolling down 30 feet before exploding with tremendous force. In an airburst, these bombs would not have damaged the dams, but since water is incompressible, the dams were breached.

Rare 1961 Sea Power hardbox release of USS Arizona's famous sister ship. The Pennsylvania was in dry-dock during the December 7th Pearl Harbor attack and survived with minimal damage. She was rebuilt and saw significant action in the Pacific in WWII, steaming over 150,000 miles from 1941 to 1945. It is thought that she may have fired more ammunition than any ship in history and she never once reported 'Not Ready' for any operation or need. After being used as a nuclear test ship at Bikini, she was towed to Kwajalein and sunk. The kit has never been started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals, color flag sheet and instructions.

NOTE: Box displays better than the 'VG++' grade, but was graded as such due to a very light 'Highland Hobby Shop' stamp on the box top.

First and only issue of this rare, large-scale kit. The hardbox is dated 1978 and has incredible artwork and the 'S' Cement logo on the sides. Large scale and well detailed featuring removable missile with moving top stage forward fins, complete working launcher and more. Please note that the box is intact with great color and gloss & four solid corners but it has excessive wear and creasing as shown in the photo, hence the rating of only 'fair+.'

Revell Medicine Wagon - Miniature Masterpiece, 1/48, H521-98

Rare 1955 issue. The box has excellent color and gloss, four solid corners and no fading, tears or price tags. The flaws are very light wear and very light age spotting. This excellent model; like all of the Miniature Masterpieces, it is a perfect example of the best early Mold-Makers art. Features medicine wagon with detailed suspension and open rear platform, colorful decals for Doctor Brown's Snake Oil, two horses, Dr. Brown, entertainer, an Indian, local man and a local woman with her young boy and girl. NOTE: this kit has minor and very neat 'professional' quality subassembly as follows: front axle assembly; rear axle assembly; horse halves. There is no other assembly and zero painting. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. 'Miniature Masterpieces' was formed through an alliance of Lew Glaser (Revell) and Steve Adams (Adams Action Models) in 1953. Although the molds were made at Adams and it had the appearance of an independent company, the firm was run by Revell down to the prototypes being made at the Revell plant. Originally there was no evidence of the parent company on the surface. The State Coach of England was the first kit, issued in 1953. More kits of excellent quality followed. Revell completely took over the line in 1954 and in that year and the next, kits were labeled 'Revell' with a 'Miniature Masterpiece' label on the box top also.

Second issue dated 1954 with hardbox Pre-S artwork of 'Buffalo Bill' by Richard Kishady. Molded in the correct high-gloss medium olive drab and clear plastic and includes the famous clear Revell Swivel Display Stand. The kit has never been started. The box displays better than the 'very good++' grade but is rated as such because there is a very light stain just above 'Easy-To-Build' at the very top. it extends down about 1/2" onto the adjacent box side also.

It is molded in a dramatic glossy deep purple plastic and chrome plate. The accessories include wild custom decals, custom grille, 2 fender fins, wheel disc bullets, filler plugs, 2 piece club pin, custom decals with flames or pencil lines and white stripes, white wall decals, rear view mirrors, antennas, spotlights, continental kit, hood scoop, top rear scoop, two side stacks and more The kit has never been started. 1966 hardbox issue that is from the exact same molds as the USS Randall 1950s 'S' kit. This is a highly detailed and excellent kit for that time. It features a full, one-piece hull, detailed deck & superstructure, life rafts, deck guns, all masts and booms, a complete complement of 22 barges and landing craft and more. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The USS Montrose was on of 57 Haskell Class Attack Transports built for service in and immediately after WWII. The ships were designed to carry troops close to the beachheads, transfer them to landing barges (carried on board) and to supervise the landing operations. Her length was 455 feet and she could handle 1,560 troops and carry 3000 tons of equipment.

1960s Revell of Great Britain issue with unique box art. There are two GB issues and this is the one with the slightly larger box. As with most GB issues, the decal sheet is improved and includes full-horizontal and vertical stabilizer size white & red markings with leading edge black scallops, all white and blue cowling stripes, white and blue side fuselage stripes, white and black headrest markings, squadron markings and national insignia / US Army text and aircraft number.
