Nitto Jet Ranger / Hughes 500 / Iroquois UH-1B / HueyCobra AH-1 - With Toy Glider, 480-300

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

Sold

Very Rare. This model includes all four injection molded helicopters with decals for the box art aircraft. Each is molded in white and clear. There is also a very cardstock flying glider with 'Nittogo' on the fuselage and "Nitto Kagaku Co, Ltd' on the wing. Never started. All four plastic kits are still sealed in the original factory bags with decals. Includes instructions. The scales from the side of the box are as follows: UH-B 1/144; Hughes 500 1/100; Hueycobra is 3.7 inches long (fuselage) and the Jet Ranger is 3.25 inches long. (Sorry I don't have the scale on the last two, but my Japanese is very rusty).

Arii Vertol 107, 1/72, 1

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Fair

Sold

Rare Arii model from the 1960s. The box is complete and intact but has the obvious stains as shown. The kit inside is often attributed to Airfix and it may be; however, I am suspicious of this as it is a bit cruder in mold quality, so it may simply be a copy of the Airfix kit. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.

Sunkit Bell-47D Helicopter - Flying Plastid Model - (ex Sanwa), 2025

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

Sold

Very rare model from ex-Sanwa molds. Sunkit issued at least two models - this flying Bell helicopter and a large 1/96 scale cut-away Boeing 727 with full interior. This model is molded in flexible blue, white and clear plastic. It has a handle that you can pull that spins the rotors so that it flies directly up into the air then auto-gyrates back down. Please NOTE that this is much more of toy than a scale model. The resemblence to the Bell 47 is superficial at best. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes instructions. Sunkit did not furnish decals with this kit.

Nichimo Bell-47J Sony Helicopter, 1/60

It has been inventoried and NOTE: missing (1) control link (easily made from wire or sprue) and the display stand (which is 5 pieces). Otherwise complete with all other parts and includes decals and instructions.

Nichimo Bell-47J Sony Helicopter, 1/60

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good+

Sold

Rare, early issue includes decals for Sony Corporate Helicopter. The parts are molded in silver and clear. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Please note, there is no stand on the instructions and subsequently not one included. Other issues did come with a stand and it was also shown on the instructions. The box has a closed tear on the upper long side panel.

Sanwa Sikorsky S-55 Helicopter, 1/72, 109

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Fair++

Sold

Very Rare. Early, colorful issue from the late 1950s. The kit is dated by the 'Sanwa Plastic' logo, which was normally used in the late 1950s up to 1960. it appears that Sanwa may have had access to Revell's "S" Issue 1/48 scale S-55 and that is possible given the marketing relationship between the two companies. This kit may simply be a scaled-down version of the Revell model. Molded in green, black and clear. Inside, the model is factory new - all the parts and decals are still in the factory sealed clear bags. Includes instructions. The box is 100% intact but has writing and discoloration as shown. Sanwa was one of Japan's earliest post-WWII kit producers, making model kits in the 1950s; some sources say 1955. Kits were marketed under Sanwa and Tokyo Plamo, with the general consensus being the the later logo came out around 1960 or later. Production ended in 1964, making all Sanwa kits rare and collectible. The entire line was extensive. It included very small scale tanks (some that were motorized), battleships in three scales with the larger ones motorized with dual prop drive, slot cars, civil sport boats and an electric outboard, a full line of hand gun models that actually shot plastic bullets, two fighter groups and bomber groups (probably Monogram), several different lines of scale aircraft, missile kits, scale (static) car models of early Japanese automobiles, at least 7 flying model aircraft that had electric and rubber motors, a 'Super Control Stand' P-51 that moved with a joystick and had an electric propeller and sound unit, two different lighthouses and a windmill, an air cushion boat, motor cycles, a diving submarine (electric) and a working (rubber band) George Washington Class SSBN and even a garden tractor with an electric motor. Just before going out of business, Sanwa issued some kits in conjunction with the 1964 Tokyo Olympic games - these kits even included a copy of an Olympic medal. The back of this box shows "Flying Foam Plastic Airplane Constructions Kits" which included the 'Thunderbird' with an 18" wingspan and a Cessna Skylan(e) with a 21 inch wingspan. These may have been among some of the first flying 'foamies.'

Maintrack Saunders-Roe SR.177 - (SR-177), 1/72, PX010

Vacuform Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

Sold

Highly detailed vac kit with better mold quality than most injection molded kits. Includes cast metal details and decals. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The SR.177 was a further development of the SR.53. The SR177 combined rocket with turbine power. The 177 had a jet engine of significantly more power than the 53, so it could cruise without use of the rocket motor. The interceptor was to be armed with two Firestreak missiles. Although British air policy changed, the work continued due to German interest in the project. However, the program was dropped when Germany went with the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter.
