Early Airfix logo. Box in excellent condition. Classic kit of the British workhorse flying boat of WWII. Crews so enjoyed flying and living in the Sunderland that it was considered prime duty. The Sunderland had the range, endurance, and when needed, defensive punch to take care of itself. Never started. She was powered with a 3000 hp supercharged Rolls Royce engine and won the Championship in 1977. Her 'rooster tail' alone was 7 tons of airborne water! Never started.
