Esoteric Parnall N.2A Panther - US Navy or RAF, 1/72, NAF-34

Vacuform Model Kit,   Box Condition: Fair

Sold

The historic Panther was one of the first British aircraft to be designed to operate from aircraft carrier. Designed to Admiralty specification A.1/N.2A, the Panther was originally known as N.2A and first flew in April of 1918. Panthers were unique with the high cockpit (for good visibility in landing on the carrier) and the folding back fuselage half for improved storage. A contract for 312 aircraft was cut to 150 when WWI ended. A dispute arose between Parnall and the Air Ministry and the later contract was cancelled; but the aircraft went into production with The British & Colonial Aeroplane Co. (later Bristol). Eventually some production models were built by Parnall as well. The aircraft was successful and served on the HMS Argus and Hermes. They remained in service till 1926. Two were purchased by the US Navy and 12 were reported purchased by the Japanese. Very high quality kit with detail better than many injection molded kits. Has full interior detail. Includes decals for two British aircraft and both American Panthers. Includes many cast metal details and plenty of shaped strut material. Complete and never started.

SPECIAL ORDER KIT. The kit is produced when payment is received. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery. The most accurate and well-researched 1/72 C-133 kit available. The shape and dimensions of this kit are very accurate. Model includes two large and two small sheets of vac formed main parts, full sized plans, 36 pages of highly detailed assembly instructions (including many photos) and research material for detailing your model and a very large color decal sheet. The exhaustive instructions also serve as one of the best guides that I have seen to properly building and strengthening a large vacuform kit, as full details, photos and templates are included for a balsa wooden structure to help the fuselage correctly carry the load of the wings. There is an additional parts kit (with wheels, props, landing gear struts, etc) available for an additional $40.

Monogram 1932 Ford Deuce Five Window Sport Coupe Street or Drag Strip Hot Rod, 1/24, PC57-198

Large Custom decal sheet in like new condition. Kit features chopped and channeled body, Old Super 88 engine, detailed interior, dual quad carbs, Lake Pipes, plated license frames and Moon Hub Caps, Vista Dome clear top and more. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Pyro Civil War Blockade Runner (Cutter 'Lavinia') - (ex-Harriett Lane), 1/124, B375-400

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG++

Sold

After the initial issue, Pyro re-marketed the Harriett Lane as the "Lavinia", which was what the Confederates renamed her when they captured her and made her a blockage runner. The Harriett Lane was built in 1858 and named for President Buchanan's niece. The cutter was 180 feet long with a 30 foot beam and displacement was 670 tons. Armament consisted of 3-9 inch Dahlgrens and 1-30 lb Parrot Rifle. She was built at a time when steam was not fool-proof, so she is rigged for full sails. Harriett Lane served as the Presidential Yacht, the fired the first shot of the Civil War. She chased down blockade runners until January 1, 1863 when she was attacked by five Confederate Gun Boats and boarded. She was captured and renamed the Lavinia and was used as a blockade runner. Near the end of the war she caught fire at sea, and put into Havana Harbor. Federal forces took her again and rebuilt her in 1869 as the bark 'Elliot Ritchie'. She was abandoned at sea in 1884. Never started. Factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.
