When released in 1962, this car was one of the revolutionary Revell kits that broke new ground in 1/25 level of detail. In Tom Graham's interviews with Jim Keeler, the kit designer, the molds cost $80,000 in 1961 - twice that of a normal car kit. To design the kit, Thompson's mechanics gave the Revell team full run of the vehicle and even disassembled it for them. The kit features removable boy panels, four super detailed Pontiac V-8 engines with 18 parts each, complete chassis, suspension and drive train detail, water tanks, fuel tanks, parachute holder, cockpit and much more. The level of detail is astounding. Molded in correct gloss baby blue, silver, chrome plated and with rubber tires. Never started. Original first issue from 1954 and before the 'S' Cement logo was used. Boxart by Richard Kishady. Correctly molded in gloss olive drab and clear, with the famous globe base. Features rotating turrets and propellers, pilot, copilot and bomber figures and famous "The Flying Dragon" decals. NOTE: kit has been started. Glue was neatly applied to both fuselage halves but they were never assembled. Quality of glue application is very good. One turret base has the retention button glued to it. No other assembly and no painting. 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Ideal builder but not a good collector kit.

Renwal CV-16 USS Lexington Aircraft Carrier with Regulus Missiles, 1/500, 607-229

Far and away the most accurate injection molded kit of this ship. The USS Lexington took part in many WWII battles in the Pacific. She was placed in the reserve fleet, but was modified into an angle-deck Essex like many of her sisters and recommissioned in 1955. This configuration is modeled upon the ship in late 1950s. Like all Renwal ships, the details are excellent and the moldings very fine. Includes Regulus I missiles and launchers, moving elevators, full hull, flag sheet, full color decals and an airwing with F9F-8 Cougars (wings folded and unfolded), A3D Skywarriors and Helicopters. Kit has never been started. NOTE: kit is missing two parts. #15 elevator guide and #54 yardarm. The elevator guide is simply a trimmed "U" channel, so it is easily made from stock shapes. The yard is easily made also. Complete with all other parts, decals, flags and instructions.

Large scale kit of the famous side-by-side trainer in a glossy box art issue. In 1950 Italy found itself with a resurgent air force and civil flying activity, but no basic trainer. License was obtained to build the Fokker S.11 Instructor trainer with a Lycoming 435-A engine. The aircraft was mass produced in Italy and Holland and was very successful. Civil aviation enthusiast still fly restored M.416s to this day. Never started. Factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.
