Dramatic Craftmaster artwork of an Il-2M3 attacking train tracks and a locomotive. The legendary Stormovik gave the Germans nothing but trouble on the Eastern Front. Designed as a heavily armed single seat or dual seat attack aircraft, the Stormovik was very difficult to shoot down; even then if the pilot could crash land it, he had an excellent chance of walking away and flying again the next day. Il-2M3s endless attacked German forward and rear positions effectively and in large numbers till the end of the war. The prop shaft has been glued to the prop. There is no other assembly. Rare 1/48 scale kit. Hardbox is dated 1958, but the logo tells us that this is a very late 1950 to early 1960s issue since the 'Famous Fighters' is not present in the oval logo but the sunburst still is. This issue has the correct triangle two-piece clear base as well as full landing gear and rockets. Molded in silver and clear. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts decals and instructions. This is reissue of one of Aurora's first two kits (F-90 and F9F) which were copies of the Hawk molds.
