The ex-Navy Hospital ship was equipped with the latest technology and a staff of 6 doctors, nurses and technicians. The Hope and crew toured the world, treating disease and training doctors in the latest developments in medical science. Never started. The Dolphin was the development of the Sinbad flying boat of the 1030s. Initially designed as a civil transport, the US Coast Guard quickly saw the potential and used it as a flying lifeboat. The Army used Dolphins under the designations OA-3, OA-4, C-26 and C-29. The Navy and Marines designated them RD-1 through RD-4 and used them as VIP transports. The very first presidential carrier was a Dolphin for Franklin D. Roosevelt, and the Dolphin was the very first Douglas commercial transport as well. Very high quality vac kit with full interior with metal details. Quality is as good or better than most injection molded kits. Includes decals for three aircraft including FDR's transport. Complete and never started.

Dennie Davis' design with the 'perfect flight record. His Hogan designs won International Class A, C and D, the All-Western Championship and many more. Features precision die-cut parts, complete hardware, silkspan covering, sheet balsa wing covering, preshaped trailing and leading edges and more. The model has not been started. The parts are either in factory sealed bag(s) or inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. Berkeley is a very famous manufacturer of flying model kits from the Golden Age of flying aviation, about 1932-1954. Founded in 1933 by William Effinger, the company was quite progressive in producing quality kits - it was likely the Berkeley 'Buccaneer' was the first gas powered model in kit form. In the later 1930s, Effinger acquired the services of a very talented Henry Struck. Struck went on to design numerous award-winning kits under the Berkeley name. Berkeley weathered the post WWII recession and emerged as a major kit producer in the late 1940 and 1950s. These were great years for Berkeley and they produced some incredible and large kits. The company went bankrupt in about 1960 however. Fox engines (Duke Fox) bought the company and released the kits alongside his own FOX models and engines. This arrangement did not last, and in the early 1960s the Berkeley name disappeared from hobby shop shelves.

Well detailed and molded kit. Features very fine raised panel lines, full interior crew stations including cockpit, forward gunner, rear upper gunner and retractable lower gunners 'dust bin', optional position crew boarding hatch and ladder, crew of 4, rotating propeller and wheels and decals for the two aircraft listed. The kit has never been started. Internal factory sealed bag including decals and instructions. The Ju-86 started life as a unique diesel powered bomber and civil transport. However, problems with the diesel engines prompted Junkers to fit the airplane with more reliable BMW 132 F and N radial engines, which is what this kit represents.
