White Box issue dated 1973 of the classic Four Star kit from 1963. Wings fold properly as on actual aircraft - landing gear retracts including tail wheel and arresting hook - includes bombs, drop tanks and rockets. Revell Grumman F9F-8 Cougar - First Issue Pre-'S' 1 Piece Box - (F9F8), 1/52, H203-59

Very first release from 1953 in the one-piece box. This kit is one of Revell's first three aircraft kits, all packed in this type of box. Revell soon learned that this box was inadequate for plastic models, so they quickly moved to the two-piece hardbox, a medium weight cardboard box folded to shape and glued together with a litho 'slick'. Although this box grades VG, it is in above average condition for this kit due to the nature of the box. This early kit has no landing gear or rivet detail, as is correct for the first issues. The decals are the correct early version from "The Colortone Co." and the instructions are printed on the back of the box. These kit comes with the unique solid color two piece stand (as shown in the instructions) molded in the same color as the aircraft. This stand was only used for the first three Revell aircraft kits (F9F, Cutlass and F-94) and Revell's first Gift Set with these three aircraft. The model is molded in the correct dark gloss blue with a clear canopy. This kit has never been started. It has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions (on the back of the box)

Early/mid 1960s Testors factory bag sealed balsa wood glider. The bag is in excellent condition. The glider has 10cents printed on it as this was the retail selling price. There was no header - this was a simple, low cost affair. I can remember literally hundreds of flights with gliders such as this and the excitement of getting the right wind and setting a new distance record. Although the bag has never been opened, the wing is split. The split is clean and would be an easily fix if you wished to fly it.

Very rare. From the late 1950s. Fantastic condition kit with Ray Gaedke artwork. This is the Lindberg Q Ship, which has an unknown prototype but is suppose to be a WWI style Q-Ship submarine trap. The ship appears to be a WWI British Q Ship by the title, yet looks a little modern and has US numbers of 171 (which apparently mean nothing). The Lindberg model actually has the layout of the AK-101 USS ATIK, which was formerly the SS-CAROLYN, built in 1912. The CAROLYN was recommissioned as the USS ATIK and at the start of WWI which was a real US Q-ship. This kit has never been started. It is either still in the internally sealed factory bag or has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. NOTE: The box grades Good-, but it very fragile. The instructions are present but are water damaged.
