Hard-to-find kit of this historic ship. 1980 Revell USA issue. Measures 22.25 inches long when built. Very nicely detailed model. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including all parts, metal chain, rigging material, flags, sails and instructions. The Great Eastern (originally Leviathan) was the work of English Designer I.K. Brunel. In the 1850s there was a need for large ocean liners to carry the immigrant trade, but none existed. Shipping companies also wanted the interiors of ocean liners to look like hotels, but there simply no space. This ship was to solve that problem. She was launched in 1857 and five times bigger than any other ship of the day! The 22,500 ton Great Eastern was 693 feet long and carried 4000 passenger. Unfortunately, her career was one mishap after another until she found fame by laying the trans-Atlantic cable.

1974 reissue of the original 1961 'Old Timers' series kit. Done in a big 1/16 scale, this kit and the other automobiles in the series represented a significant leap forward in quality for Aurora. The kit features full suspension, transaxle and driveline detail. includes a very well detailed interior. Molded in yellow, clear and with brass plated parts and real black rubber tires. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including instructions. Aurora was renowned for turning a profit and for keeping expenses down. In researching new kit subjects, they came upon a forgotten jewel - the Hudson Miniatures line of 1/16 scale wooden kits. Hudson had discontinued this line due to lack of sales of wooden kits. But the Hudson models were second to none in quality, research and documentation. Aurora was quick to realize this and used the research and layout from these kits to create the subjects for the 'Old Timers' series. It is fortunate for us that they did, because in most cases this is the only injection molded kit of these rare and classic early automobiles.

Includes markings for the 1986 S/N 3-6060 for Project Sky Hawk, an experiment in using MIM-23B Hawk missiles as air-to-air weapons. Set includes three sheets of markings in full color and extensive stencils. Includes a large 22 x 16 inch fold out full-color poster of 6 of the aircraft. Decals are never used and complete. The F-14 kit itself is still factory sealed. It has fantastic mold quality and incredible detail. Features full cockpit, wheel well detail, swinging wings, full weapons loadout and much more.
