Very rare kit from the 1960s. Large scale (near 1/100) model of the famous Convair airliner, transport and executive taxi. While many 440s were prop-jets, this model depicts the version with two Pratt & Whitney Double Wasp R-2800-CB17 engines. Nicely molded for it's time with fine raised rivet and panel line detail, rotating propellers and landing gear. NOTE: this kit has minor assembly. The passenger door has been glued shut. Quality of assembly is 'very good'. There is no other assembly. Inventoried with all parts and instructions. NOTE: missing decals. Instructions are photocopies.
