The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: decals are only 'fair' and have bug damage. NOTE: instructions are a photocopy from the Black Sheep issue (same kit but in a different box).

Stick and tissue kit can be powered by rubber or electric, or built for static display. Kit features traditional wood/tissue construction, detailed full size plans, building instructions, hardware, wheels, tissue and propeller. The model has not been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

Features fantastic 1950s Ray Gaedke art work, but this is an issue from the early 1960s. This is the only kit of the B-70 with retractable landing gear. Includes moving rudders and ailerons, optional position wing tip panels and the traditional clear Lindberg display stand. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts decals and instructions. This kit has the twin vertical stabilizers like the real aircraft. Lindberg also offered a 'civil' TWA XB-70 with a single tail configuration.

Classic kit from the late 1950s. Dramatic box art by Ray Gaedke. If you have built this model, then you know the kit goes together very nicely and is very well molded and detailed for the the 1950s. It features movable rudder, elevators and ailerons, rotating and elevating gun turrets, retractable main landing gear and tail gear, crew members, good cockpit detail for that time, rotating props and wheels and a large, clear adjustable display stand. NOTE: this kit had minor assembly. One side window was neatly glued in. Since the builder used wood glue, the window has fallen out. There is no other assembly. However, the owner put wood glue on the mating surfaces of one wing bottom and inside the fuselage around some other window holes. He did not put the wings together or put the other windows in, however. Again, he used wood glue. There is no glue on the outside of the wing or fuselage as he was very neat. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

He was very precise; the canopy is bagged separate to prevent scratching, the small parts are in a zip lock for protection and then put into a larger sealed bag with the bigger parts and instructions. Decals are excellent. Very nicely detailed kit of typical high Monogram quality.
