WWS Unknown Battleship Design Imperial Japanese Navy, 1/700, 6

Resin Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

Sold

Unusual subject that appears to be a Japanese battleship or battlecruiser design that did not go beyond the drawing boards. I am not certain of this, however. NOTE: this kit is not complete. To complete it I would purchase a 1/700 FUSO or the like. This kit has a very low piece count from the factory, like most models of 'proposed' (never built) ships. The instructions are 5 pages but all in Japanese. The 5th page has assembly illustrations. I can say for sure that (2) of the (5) turrets are missing along with the main gun barrels and the front superstructure. The two missing turrets are identical to the 3 turrets that are present. There may be other small parts missing as well, such as searchlight platforms, etc. Again, another 1/700 early IJN battleship kit would go a long way to make this whole. Never started and sold 'as is.'

Tri-ang HMS Queen Elizabeth

Metal Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

Sold

Factory built and painted; not an assembly kit. Part of the famous ocean liner series from Tri-ang. This example is very nice, with all original paint in fine condition and with the original masts and funnels. Usually the masts are missing and the funnels are warped, but not with this example. The paint shows light wear as shown but displays very well. There is no box, and it will be shipped with the masts removed for safety. They simply slide back into the deck holes.

Pit Road IJN Akagi With Three Flying Decks (Pre-1935), 1/700, HM-020

Resin Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

Sold

Rare, very high quality waterline kit of the Akagi in the three-deck configuration. Features superbly cast resin hull and deck sections, three large trees of injection molded details, numerous cast metal details and precision cast metal biplane torpedo bombers and biplane fighters. There are extensive decals for the air wing and the ship The kit has never been started. Almost all parts are still in the factory sealed bags. The few large parts that are not internally sealed have been inventoried complete, including decals and instructions. The initial idea for Akagi was to make three decks to speed up the take-off and landing of aircraft. It worked initially, but by 1935 the lower two decks were not long enough for the heavier aircraft. At that point Akagi was reconstructed to a single deck configuration.
