Very rare kit from 1960. The box grades 'very good+++' with excellent gloss and color, four solid corners, no price tags, factory tape marks only with no tape tears or any litho tears. The only flaws are light general wear, slight creasing, very slight edge and corner wear, light yellow stains from the factory tape and a very light 3.5 cm x .5cm discoloration on one long side. The box bottom tray is exceptional as well. Very interesting kit with raised and recessed panel line detail. Comes with the proposed operating zero-length launching system and fall-away rocket booster. The booster is detachable from the F-108 (if you wish). The aircraft has moving canards and the launcher elevates to launching position then back to storage position. Molded in the correct ivory plastic with metal parts for the elevation mechanism. The kit includes the correct decals and instructions as well. The decals, spring and two metal shafts are still packed in the sealed ITC factory bag. The instructions are excellent with typical yellowing, factory folds only and no tears or edge wear. Inside, the kit is in factory-new condition. It has not been started. It has been inventoried complete with every plastic part, metal part, decals and instructions and even the Ideal Quality 'Inspection Slip.' The F-108 was a proposed interceptor and escort for the B-70 tri-sonic bomber and ITC was quick to capitalize on this new design. The kit was produced quickly and the rest is history. When the F-108 hit the shelves, it did not look like the design. Photos had been released by the US Air Force of the mock-up that were not available when ITC made the molds. This and the cancellation of the F-108 program lead to a very short release life for the Rapier and ITC quickly pulled it from the shelves. NOTE: shipping insurance is required.

Early issue dated 1977. Contains the desirable full color Diorama Sheet and instructions. Excellent detail inside and out. NOTE: one part has been glued - a seat to the side of the fuselage interior. There is visible glue, but the part cannot be seen when the kit is assembled. There is no other assembly. NOTE: builder kit only, please read below. Rare 1966 hardbox issue. Very large 1/118 scale kit is over two feet long when assembled and is a very detailed model for that time. Features full hull, display stand, metal chain, detailed deck fittings, pre-formed rat lines, billowing sails, blocks and detailed rigging diagrams. Molded in correct dark wood, black, tan, and ivory/white. Features full hull, display stand, detailed deck fittings, billowing sails, metal anchor chains, running and standing rigging, molded ratlines and display stand. This model was one of a small series of large scale sailing ships made by Aurora to appeal to the serious ship modeler. NOTE: this kit has minor assembly. Several eyebolts have been glued to the deck. There is no other assembly. NOTE: about a dozen parts have been painted. This includes one hull half below the waterline only, the other hull half fully painted, both main decks and the deck hatches/skylights. There is no other painting. Much of the paint is neat and can be painted over. Some will need a light sanding before painting. You may wish to strip it with DOT3 brake fluid, spray oven clear or any other safe, tested plastic paint stripper. NOTE: missing one #65 davit. Easily made using the other davits as a pattern. Inventoried with all other parts, three types of rigging material, decals, flag sheet and instructions present.
