Still factory sealed. Well detailed and molded model. Features opened or closed missile bay, full Falcon missile load and decals for California ANG 163rd FIG 196 FIS. When designed in 1950 the F-102 was a radical departure from conventional early jet fighter design. The delta wing allowed supersonic performance and good low speed handling. It was the first US Aircraft to be armed with missiles alone, 6 Falcons carried internally and 12 x 2.75 inch HVAR rockets in the weapons bay doors. The F-102 equipped all 25 of the ADC squadrons in the day, served in SE Asia and equipped many ANG units.

The last group took part in the attacks on Convoy PQ17 in June/July of 1942 in which 23 of 36 vessels were sunk by air attack and U-boats. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: one prop is missing one blade, so I have included another prop from an earlier version. It has all three blades but the last section of the prop shaft (which is not seen once it is assembled) is broken and missing.
