1980 first issue with excellent mold quality. Very highly detailed and large kit. Features fully detailed cockpit, nose compartment and landing gear, crew of four, optional position bomb bay doors with 80 bombs, optional electronic fairings, rotating props, moving tail turret and optional position landing gear. The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The one silver tree and clear tree that were not factory sealed have been inventoried complete including decals and instructions. Please NOTE the box displays better than the 'good+' grade, but is rated as such because there is a closed tear on the short left side panel and a 2" x 1" missing section from the long lower side panel.

Includes markings for one "B" (956) and two different "A" - 974 is a standard SR-71A and 972 is a 'Low Observable" scheme. Decals are included for the CIA A-12 / M-12, but Testors never did furnish the parts. The instructions provide drawings for making the proper modifications.

Revell B-36 Giant Bomber - True First Issue Pre 'S' With One Piece Stand Arm, 1/184, H205-98

Very rare 1954 true first issue, narrow height Pre 'S' box with full background artwork. It is molded in gloss silver and clear plastic and has the early one-piece stand arm (three prongs at the top) and correct instructions showing that stand. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. It even has the original 'Thick Paper Towel' packing material that Revell used for a short time. One prop blade is neatly broken at the hub but is present so it can be repaired. The Revell B-36 had an interesting early history which took years to unfold. All early issues share the H205-98 part number and are molded in gloss silver and clear plastic. The first issue (this kit) has the full background art and the one piece stand arm (also shown on the instructions). The second issue carries the same full background box art but has the improved two piece stand arm and the instructions that reflect that. For the third issue, Revell made the box taller by .25 inches and improved the contrast of the artwork by adding a completely new and very light (yellow) background. This issue also had the two piece stand arm and instructions reflecting that.

Monogram F-51D Mustang Action Model (P-51) - 'Contrary Mary' 78th Fighter Group 8th Air Force - Heritage Edition Issue, 1/32, 6054

1983 issue of this classic large-scale 'Action Model' from the original 'Four Star' Monogram line. Includes a large and extensive decal sheet that has all checkerboards for 'Contrary Mary' as pictured. Canopy opens and closes to show highly detailed cockpit. Tiny levers under the wings drop 2 bombs. Knob on the bottom rotates and extends/retracts main gear and tail wheel; all gear doors including the tail wheel open and close automatically with the gear. Not only do these features sound great, but they work. My built kit (White Box issue) is 40+ years old and still functions like new. Very nicely detailed. Molded in silver, black and clear. The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory bag sealed and still sealed, and the parts that were never factory sealed have been inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions.

The trailer unhitches from cab and all 18 wheels rotate. Detailed truck has opening hood with full engine and cab interior. Includes a crew of 2 and is molded in gloss green and white plastic. First issue dated 1956 in the "S" hardbox. Still considered the classic 'as launched' model of the first Super Carrier. Molded in the correct gloss gray and blue. Features full, one piece hull, props, shafts and rudder detail, moving elevators and crane, detailed 5" AA gun turrets with directors, full island with sensors, deck crash crane, tow tractors and an airwing consisting of A3D Skywarriors, HUP-3 Helicopters, F7U-3 Cutlass, FJ-3 Fury and F2H-4 Banshee aircraft. There is no assembly or painting but NOTE: one part (#6 fantail bulkhead) has neat glue on the back and sides of it, but was never put on. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals, flag sheet and instructions. The instructions are in 'very good++' condition. Please note that there is a superb Starfighter Decals sheet for this model and for the airwing; you can purchase it at Starfighter decals on line.

Still factory sealed. 2012 reissue using the original molds. Hard to find kit of the last WWII carrier class has John Steele artwork from the 'Picture Fleet' series. Although designed for the Pacific battles, the Midway and her sisters did not see service in WWII. The Midway was the first surface ship to launch a ballistic missile. She and her sisters served proudly in the post-war years until replaced by the super-carriers.
