1953 original issue of the famous Highway Pioneers 'Foreign Car' series. These issues feature the same 5 car artwork on every box; the only way to identify the contents was an ink-stamped name on the box ends. Molded in light green plastic. This kit has never been started. All parts are still in the factory sealed bag. Includes instructions. These kits have a fascinating history. Hobbies were nothing new to America in the 1930s/40s, but they were not mainstream and never made the top 10 list of boys activities. Spurred on by the nation-wide aviation craze in the 1920s, many became modelers and built flying or static wooden models of airplanes, ships, trains, automotive and other subjects. Basic kits existed, but many of these models were built from scratch, which demanded a high talent level developed from years of experience. That changed in the early 1950s when the Gowland & Gowland/Revell Highway Pioneers became the sales sensation of the year. Demand was so great that the factories could not keep up and almost overnight 'model building' was mainstream. The phenomenon of the 'Highway Pioneers' kits was a significant force in proving that model building as a hobby could have mass appeal, provided that the kits were easy enough to build and finish. These 1/32 scale vehicles fit the bill: they could be built in an hour after dinner and looked much like the real cars. The success of the Highway Pioneers lead to the production of other subjects in plastic and the effect was revolutionary. By the late 1950s, model building was the #1 past time of American boys...and many adult males too!

Rare 1957 first and only Revell issue in investment-grade "Near Mint" condition. When sales of the dramatic XSL-01 Moon Rocket did not meet expectations, Revell molded the top stage in a different color plastic from the XSL-01, added a special 3D Moon Base Stand and boxed it as this stand-alone kit. The result was this Moon Ship with incredible box art. The box art invites you to 'Enter the Age of Space' with these action features: retractable landing ski, removable fuselage section with detailed cabin with controls and instrument panels and a crew of three astronauts. Molded in correct baby blue plastic. This model has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Box condition details: The color and gloss are perfect. The box looks as if it was just removed from the original shipping box. It actually displays 'Mint' but is graded as 'Near Mint' because there is a very small factory tape litho pull on the long upper long side. The litho pull is on the bottom edge and measures 7mm x 7mm.

Very rare first and only issue dated 1958. This version of Revell's large F-102 includes all the ground equipment and crew shown on the front cover. The F-102 aircraft features landing gear and flaps the retract and extend when canopy is opened and closed, removable rear section and detailed engine, engine, movable control surfaces, opening weapons bay with Falcon missiles and more. The ground equipment includes mobile staircase with work platform, tow tug with driver, 'Restricted Area' signs, trailer tongue, missile loading trailer, power cable trailer with reels, engine-hauling trailer, engine unloading trailer, three missile racks, kneeing mechanic figure and mechanic figure with clipboard. The F-102 is molded in silver and clear while the ground equipment is molded in bright yellow. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, both correct decal sheets and both sets of instructions present. Both instruction sets are in 'excellent+++' condition. Both decal sheets are perfectly flat, 100% intact and in 'excellent++' condition with slight yellowing as the only flaw. NOTE: while all parts are present, the tiny axles are broken off of the missile trailer and missing. This is unfortunately common with this kit because they are incredibly small and fine. NOTE: the very top of the box displays 'Near Mint++" condition but is only rated 'Excellent++' because there is general wear and scuffing on the two long side panels. Please note that this kit must be shipped insured.

Still factory sealed. This is the 1996 reissue of the original 'S' kit utilizing the original artwork. Molded in black, clear and excellent chrome. The Eldorado Brougham four door hardtop (suicide doors) started as a dream car in the GM Motorama and made it to the production floor as the luxury car with "the greatest number of important technological advances ever included in a custom built automobile". The styling was revolutionary at the time. The car sported a large and powerful V-8 engine and air suspension. The interior was simply stunning, with upholstery combinations such as cashmere, nylon and leather in any number of patterns and styles and plenty of chrome trim. In the rear seat, there was a retractable armrest which contained a storage compartment fitted with a vanity, tissue dispenser, cigarette case and a large mirror. All these items, including custom perfume, were designed just for this car. At a price tag of $13,000 few were made but they are valuable classics today.

Rare hardbox kit from 1961 has fantastic artwork of an RAF Canberra flying over 'The Rock'. This example is in amazing investment-grade 'Near Mint' condition with factory new color and gloss, four solid and original corners, no repairs, no fading, creasing or tears, no price tags or tag marks and no tape or tape marks at all. The only flaws are very light wear as hown on the box top. Based on the 1950s B-57 "S" kit, the Whip-Fly Canberra comes with RAF decals, flight ballast, control handle, 12 feet of control line, control ring, colorful streamers for the jet engines and a underside pod which is a in-flight whistle! Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions included. Included in the famous 'Whip Fly' series are the H151 F9F-8 Cougar, H152 F-84F, H153 F-89D Scorpion, H154 F8U-1 Crusader, H155 F-39 Airacobra and H156 F-101A Voodoo. Although not listed yet, there was also a Whip-Fly Canberra, F-106 and Yak-25 Flashlight. The Whip-Fly series seemed like a good idea...at first. Revell quickly realized that spinning heavily-ballasted, sharp objects at dizzying speeds in or outside the home near groups of children was not the best idea. The series was quickly discontinued.
